I agree both Richie & Chris are excellent defenders.

| Quote: rubber duckie "Unfortunately I have a good record of being correct. I don't want to see Bridge at a rival club but he is on the way out I believe. Joel is still under contract and going nowhere.
We had the same said about Myler last year. Players seldom move from here whilst under contract. Yes Higham before someone smart bum says it.'"
I would think that most on here would think that you have an excellent and proven record of being wrong.

| Joel isn't on the way out, most everyone seem to think he is.
Tees please tell me when I was wrong with predicts last season?
Please show me the post on the Micky Higham thread where I said Lineham wasn't coming!!
In this case over Bridge I really hope I have to eat humble pie. One of the best players in the last decade in P&B, when he wants to be.
I don't know whether it's him or the club as yet that wants out.

| Ok, I'll say it. Bridge, Atkins, Myler & Joel can all go at the end of the year, with varying degrees of thanks.
With the exception of Myler we can be safe in the knowledge all those players glory days are behind them - dot on the horizon behind them generally, and in Myler's case I've given up expecting any kind of startling career-about turn.
Evans & Lineham on the wings and two bl**dy good centres and a half back to provide the ammunition please, because there's no point in splashing big on a winger and then having a centre who cannot or will not provide a telling pass or relying on Joel-esque kicks to the corner.

Thu Jul 03, 2014 11 for Wire not that the club did because it came out of his mouth and that isn't hearsay that I could prove.
If you cared that much you can pm me I'll meet up and tell you how but it ain't for me to put on the board.
Its my opinion that he wasn't wanted at Wigan and Widnes weren't forward in stumping up the transfer fee. Its likely Hock was creating a market for his signing and fatter contact and Doc Koukash bought it.'"

| I'd be happy for a major freshen up in the centres. Bridge has served the club well for what we paid and the service we have had from him. Still on his day, can destroy teams but unfortunately, that day comes fewer each season.
Atkins again has done well for us in his time but never been outstanding. He again has served the club well and both players would leave with my thanks for their hard work over the years.
If Joel moves to one centre, then who is available for the other centre position? Joe Wardle at Huddersfield? Always seems to go well and is probably similar to Atkins in a way but is younger and has potential as Atkins did when we signed him. He knows where the try line is as well.
Obviously we have Toby King who looks an outstanding prospect but we will need to protect him so having 3 specialists won't do any harm as Joel may move out to wing depending upon injuries etc.
All about building a strong squad again and with the young lads we have blooded over last couple of years, the experience will be standing them in good stead every week.
There is room on the salary cap for next year (especially if Roy leaves) plus a marquee so lets make sure we use it next season.
This season is not over yet we know and we are in with a shout if we can finish in that top 4 (form has to improve though for this to happen) but next year, we want everyone to be fearing Warrington again as they did 2/3 years ago.

| As has been said elsewhere I'd rather keep Bridge and lose Atkins.
Not impressed with Atkins this year.
All this talk of players in and out shows where our focus is - next year.
It looks an unsettled club at the moment on the playing side.
On the bigger picture I think Draper coming in is a good move, bit fundamentally I want a team that's torgether and winning.

| I've always thought of Rhys Evans as a natural centre rather than a winger, and Joel was pretty poor when he played there early on in the season. Simple solution, Evans at centre, Joel on the wing. Anyone?

Evans and King at centre for me next year. Both are big enough, quick enough and good enough to look after their wingers. I would actually play Atkins outside one of them with Lineham on the other wing. Atkins is pretty quick and strong close to the line but doesn't have classic centre skills. Him and Lineham would make a big strong pair of wingers.

Thanks for strengthening my case bww
That's red quote says hock said he was coming not that I've said we've signed him. I never said that. Your seemed mission to try and discredit everything I post, in my eyes, is making you look very pathetic. It's getting very boring now. I hope I'm wrong there too.
