And if you don't win anything this season, there'll be Hearts Breaking Even that you didn't Runaway with at least a trophy. A couple of barron Seasons may be Bad Medicine, but you'll come off the Lost Highway a better team.

If you have Misunderstood anything, I'm Undivided in my opinion that a competative Warrington side is what SL needs along side Saints, Wigan Leeds, Huddersfield and Catalan. You spent a long time in the wilderness during Super League and since Tony Smith took the reigns it broke up the dominance that Saints and Leeds had over the Grand Final. Looking forward to our opener on 13 Feb 2013. The season ahead will be no Bed of Roses for anyone

I am really starting to get bored now, can't wait for the season to get started again! I have a few games recorded which I am having to ration to one a week so as not to end up going out of my mind, this weekend's is Saints v Wire from late August then next week I have got the Northern Rail final lined up. (No pun intended).

Should be a really interesting season as I don't know what to expect of us, plus Saints, Huddersfield and Salford should all be interesting, Salford in particular are quite intriguing and could surprise a few. At the bottom of the table we will have a real battle to avoid relegation, something we have missed badly in recent years whilst in the Championship clubs will be desperate for a place in the final with so much money riding on it. Bring it on!

Quote: moving on... "No replacement for Briers? We have Ratch as pur starting 6. That's a more than capable replacement. And we've signed a full back with amazing running, speed and link up play.

Wigan though they would struggle when they lost their big names. Look at them this season.'"

Yes they won the double and we have got weaker so I doubt we will overtake them this season. Yes they lost Tomkins but they signed Bowen.

Ratchford is not a replacement for Briers because he was in the team already, he has been for a few years, so how can he be a replacement. Its like saying don't worry about losing Morley and Carvell because we can replace them with Wood and Hill.

I know whats going to happen this season on this forum.

Before the season starts it will be all optimistic - we won't miss Briers/Hodgson/Carvell/Morley, the new guys we've got coming in are just as good, the young players will step up, the future's bright the future's Wire

During the season when we have a few rocky results - we made a big mistake this season by not signing well enough, Asotasi is past it and an expensive waste of money, Russell and Penny are too shaky, this is Tony Smith's first major mistake, we have to ask has he taken us as far as he can?

In reality I suspect the coaching staff know our squad is not as good as it was but they cannot find suitable replacements so they are just going to do the best they can with what we have, and hope we are still good enough to finish 4th/5th and be outsiders/threat in the playoffs.

We will have to learn to play well in poor conditions. The ball is slippery when wet and we don't do well when it's like that.

I suspect even Wigan fans were pleasantly suprised by last season, given the fact that the squad looked much weaker than recent years. Let's not forget they had plenty of shaky spells, they won the cup via a training session in the semi and abject opposition in the final but, like Leeds before them, they won when it counted and fair play to them.

Yes, we'll miss Carvell & Briers (don't think we'll miss Morley and we have a decent replacement for Brett in Ratchford) but that simply means Myler, Atkins, Monas M & J, Higham, Asotasi etc, will have to up their game.

I'll be happy to finish top 4. Will we? i don't know, but then I wouldn't have predicted Wigan doing the double with that squad either, and nor would many people inside or outside of the JJB.

Ratchford is wearing the 6 shirt and Briers isn't. Therefore he's been replaced.

I think we will be alright we do need a fair few players to up their games but they will. I do think we will have a few bad results but I think we will have our share of good results too. I can't see us challenging for top spot but top 4 should still be achievable, I am looking forward to watching us again this season.

I'll be astounded if we don't finish in the top 4. Who is going to be above us?

Hopefully Myler will emerge from the shadow of Briers & become a confident play maker & a few weeks alongside Ratchford could see the establishment of one of the best half back combinations in the game for many years to come. I also think the coaching staff though will have to abandon the idea that we still have a pin point accurate field kicker & promote a more open running game that doesn't rely on a Briers chip to the corner. This could be the start of even more exciting things to come from the Mighty Wire.

I don't want to take it for granted as I remember when 4th seemed beyond our wildest dreams which is not as long ago as it feels these days. I remain confident that Wigan, Huddersfield, Leeds and us should still be the top 4 I expect Saints, Hull & Catalans + either KR, Bradford or Salford to fill the 8 depending on how Salford settle as a team. Widnes should avoid relegation which is good as the derbies are fixtures I look forward to, although I prefer it when we win them (heavily).

Don't actually care where we finish (inside top icon_cool.gif even if this means a poor start to the first half of the season with the team bedding into the change of players and incorporation of a few youngsters, as long as we hit the season half on a roll to the GF.
