| There isn't enough people in the 'barmy army' anymore, to get the songs going. Theres only 20-30 lads at home games around the drum and they try to get songs going but no one joins in and then they just give it. If you compare this to away matches where people who are willing sing and get songs going all get together, they actual get chants going.
As for the main point i think we were shell shocked to be 20 points down and we're a much better side now then in 2002.

| your not singing anymore!!!!!!!
Your not singing anymore!!!!!
I have thought this for a while now about how flat the south stand is!!
I say south because that is the lets say main stand, the players run out and applaud the South stand right away!!
Any kind of Entertainment faces the south stand Jedward,Stacey Soloman (if she ever turns up,) Ray quinn etc all stand there expecting a reaction but dont usually get one !!!!Well Booos anyway..
Take the other week Wigan away now i love Wigan week always have done always will do,Wire fans bouncing,Chanting doing a conga when allowed Inflatable Balls, rings,Palm trees, dolls you name it it was there so there is no problem generating a atmosphere away from home, but we do seem to struggle when we are at home.

| A Geordie training session for the young lads in the SS who try but just not powerful enough is urgently needed. We need you Geordie. We also need our own Song. I really liked that one someone wrote last year we downloaded it from itunes & sing it in the car,

| The South Stand needs a proper name.
The Kippax, The Leazes, The Kop, The Holt End, THE FLETCH! Why does everywhere just seem to have a North South East or West stand these days?...very unoriginal and boring.
I think you get a sense of belonging with a proper name "we are the *insert stand name*" - bang, you have a song going already!
I agree about the willingness to join in songs, though. The Great Escape could be heard for a while on Friday but so few joined in. The fans are part of the club as well and when the team are struggling we have to do our bit.
We need to do more, so let's raise the bar against Widnes. It is much needed!

| It doesn't seem to help when we've got two drummers spread right across the stand. We either get two separate songs going at once or seem to be way off in timing and sound terrible. We could do with either one central drummer *Hint Hint*, or the two drummers to stand together and co-ordinate it a little better.
If the two groups stood together I think it'd get going a lot easier.

| Even in the East stand that big drum got the blood pumping; it was a focal point that is sorely missed. I say Geordie your bang to rights for ripping the heart out of the wire atmosphere, burn him at the stake I say burn him hahahha, what ever happened to the drum, thought it was given away. I will throw in a quid to get it back come on wire pass the hat round, the great drum return fund starts here.

| This is what happens when you dine at the table of success. Your fans now go to games expecting rugby league perfection and anything less just frustrates them.
It'll only get worse as you establish yourselves as top team.

With our side 20 points is nothing.'"
In the words of my daughter..........."That game". She was only 8 at the time and even she joined in the cherring, chanting etc. Cant blame everything on the youth (maybe just "todays" youth...lol)

You're probably fishing a bit but you're right.
Also it doesn't help that the second you get in the ground your ears are blasted by some e music coming out of the speakers. How can atmosphere build when you can barely hear yourself speaking to those stood around you. The same happens when a try is scored and the roar of the crowd is drowned out by the music. If the crowd, join in singing with the try music, they will stop as soon as the music does.
Just when you think you can get a bit of a rest at half time and maybe build up the atmosphere again just before the team come out, you've got all that dancing crap which is accompanied by some of the worst music I have ever heard, which sounds like bits of noise stapled together by a cat. I blame Britain's Got Talent.
Finally, we've just not got enough songs or people willing to get involved. Someone needs to be brave enough to come up with something original and sing it on their own and hope others join in. Posting threads on here about new songs you've wrote won't work unless you've got the balls to sing it on your own at the match.
Finally, Finally. Turn the music down or preferably off. Just like at the Leeds play off game where a few asked and the club responded. The music was turned off half an hour before kick off and the atmosphere built as it should.
Finally, Finally , Finally. Get rid of any dancing before the game or at half time.
Finally we don't have

| Have to agree with what some have said regarding the speaker volume.
On Friday both sets of fans tried to get some singing going and I know from our respect we couldn't hear jack.
If it was Wakefield I could understand but we had a full west stand and still the music pounded out. I was struggling to hear my son sat next to me.
Come on club. Sort it out ffs!
