| Knuckle dragging football fans can't comprehend a minutes silence, that's the great thing about RL.

Which was wrong really. Applause is for older people who've had a full life and died at an old age, almost a "well done" to them; silence is a much more serious mark of respect for younger people who've died and had their lives cut short.
Don't knock all footy fans everyone. There are lots of clubs' fans who are impeccable during all minutes silences.

Impeccably observed by the Fans at the game last night (As we all would expect from followers of any club of TGG!)
Don't know if it was just me but there was a real feeling that EVERY single person in that crowd last Respected the minutes silence in the way it should be.
Some times it can come across that sometimes the fans (Of all clubs) are observing the minutes silence but last last night it seemed slightly different in that there also seemed to be a reflective mood as well whilst it was happening.
Probably waffling a bit but anyway what I suppose I am trying to say is well done to Every single one of the fans there last night!

That was at the request of the family mate, they did it at Leigh too.
The minutes silence was observed brilliantly, and when the South Stand Band started playing the national anthem after it I welled up.

| It was so well observed that the landlord in the pub I was in thought the sound on his TV was broken, he started faffing about with the remote until I told him.

| Well done to the RL family for a really well observed silence (including those at home in the boozer!). Was a bit of noise coming from the concourse behind the cricket ground at first but I doubt they were to know.

| I would like to reflect on my previous comment on this topic.
I wasn't wishing to make it derogatory to the topic, but point to Mclaren that people make different choices for such ocassions and making dismissive/derogatory comment like he did was missing the point of the option being to suit each ocassion or choice of those unfortunately having to consider it.
Full praise to all fans at Headingley for the way the respect was observed and as an aside what a great advert for RL the game was.In many ways itself combining for a fitting tribute by players and fans alike.

| Was a well observed silence, and a good tribute to a group of brave lads.
