| A shame for the lad. I was looking forward to him linking up with Tomkins against the Aussies.
A real match winner that Leeds will struggle without

I understand your point but wasn't it just that mother licker Odemwingie who wished his career was over? Not all Wigan fans are like that.

King Warrior also stated he hoped Danny McGuire had broken his neck.
There is a thread on the Wigan board where about a dozen or so Wigan fans say he deserved what he got after what he did.
I've seen comments from about a dozen to a score of people saying similar things. Generalisation creeps in a lot in society. One person can say something and the group they belong to are tarnished with the same brush.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

There were quite a few, including a moderator, posting similar sentiments about McGuire. Worse of all was a racist remark in relation to Lauatiti(sp) posted on Brett Delaney's twitter feed.
Whilst we have our share of idiots the levels that Wigan fans swooped to following their defeat reached new depths in dis-tasteful dummy-spitting.

There is no thread where a dozen Wigan fans say he deserved an 8 month lay off through injury. When the news came out the vast majority were sympathetic. As you all know a so called Wire fan attacked a female Wigan fan after the game earlier this year. Should we tar you with the same brush?

That is shocking. The moderator should be banned for such comments.

| This forum is full of serious whingers as well as tit for tat holier than thou "our fans are better than yours" type threads.
So what if a few Wigan hot heads say he got what he deserved? He's injured. He's not dead. He'll be back next season and can stick it up Wigan on the pitch then.

There was one post saying 'I hope he breaks his neck' one post saying 'I hope he breaks his leg' and another saying 'I hope his career is over'. You may not agree but I think that's harsh to say the least, regardless of the source.
