It goes in cycles, The Wainrights and Clarkes etc, they both had periods where it was cool to support to them again after they had taken all sorts of abuse. As I have stated before, I watched the highlights to see Kev play, I watched out for him and what he was doing, it was lethargic and lack-lustre the majority of the time in those highlights. I regularly watch his highlights on youtube, he can do some incredible things. Watching his break against Cas for Quins up the middle of the park I got excited about the prospect of him all over again. However, against Wakey, he was bad, very bad.

So WBB, you decided to start a thread on Penny having a poor game. Players have them. Where are your threads on other players having bad games. I'm sure proven Test international players have had them this season, but you decide to pick on a certain player.

Why is it "cool" to support players from your own team who've previously been mocked. Surely we live as a team and we die as a team. We shouldn't single players out for abuse.

Bob doesn't need to justify the post by making a thread on other players that have played poorly.

Of course they're entitled to have an opinion. It's just depressing that it's just directed to the same one or two players.
Some people can't wait for certain players to have a bad performance...it's just like saying "I told you so"

yes but there were also plenty of posts about how wonderful he is when he scored a few weeks back.

Polls saying how much better he is than Rhys Williams and so on.....

Yes there are posts lauding KP, but i'd say, since the dropping of him (1st game of last season, where Lowes hung him out to dry) and ever since, they've been outweighed by the posts that are "out to get him".

If we're not careful, the club will sell him on, and he'll go and make a star of himself at a rival SL club or even union (they sniffed before).

I think the Smith is looking to move him on anyway...

Its a good job there was no internet or such in depth analysis of the game when Dessie was around, because he would have been slaughtered on here.

In reality, he was a bit iffy, in a similar way to what Penny is....Yes, he was as hard as nails, and always gave 100%, but especially in the latter stages of his career he became prone to making schoolboy gaffes, such as simple dropped balls and his classic runaround move with his centre, which often resulted in the ball ending up in touch.

Overall, a top player, but like any human being, he made errors.

I suppose a sizeable majority of Wire fans would prefer a winger like Rhys Williams instead. How wrong they are, and this will be proven over the next five or so years.

When the vast majority of fans, those with any knowledge of RL, certainly the Club & the best coach in the league, and anyone with eyes, obviously see that Penny (although possesses some speed) is not now, nor ever will be good enough to warrant a place on our wing.

The term idiots was referring to the people who berate him with unwarranted abuse at every opportunity, not people like yourself who say that he isn't good enough to play for Warrington. Difference of opinon I suppose, only time will tell.

Interesting how people disregard his 4 or 5 previous very good outings for them and just wait till he has a mare.

I remember a skinny cockney playing for Uniteds youth team in the early 90's, his manager didnt think he was tough enough and sent him out on loan. The rest his history.

the 'skinny cockney' was sent out on loan to get first team experience. He was always going to be a first team regular a few years down the line.

That is not what has happened with penny.

The only comparison that can be made is that they both went on loan.
