| We've hardly got a great number of players that would realistically be on top whack to be fair.

There is a huge difference in player ability and the salaries that Wire have been offering for the last couple of years.
Not that I am suggesting in anyway that your club is over the cap.

| Oh the jealousy, just because certain "BIG" clubs are now small. I'm sure Peter Griffin has got it all under control

its got nothing to do with not reading it,most of time just looking at an honest post and sc crops up and we get chucked into the pot, rather annoying.

| Despite the 'live' cap system, the RFL and SL are not professional enough as organisations to ensure that the cap rules are being met.
Fans should regard them more as a 'moral code' and just hope clubs aren't going outside of that. As Melbourne proved (And were only caught as a former employee shopped them) it is incredibly easy to use off the table funding to sign a player. You just have to hope that the clubs recognise that cheating removes any kudos and glory that comes from winning trophies and abide by the rules accordingly, within the spirit of the game. There is however at least one club who have proved that they will go as far as openly cheating in order to avoid relegation and who obviously have no such morality governing them.
Most SL clubs have chairmen and board members who are wealthy in their own right and who have several business ventures. If during discussions the player agrees to be paid as per his official contract, but to them receive another 30% 'off the table' there is no way of catching that. I don't believe for a second the authorities examine the financial records of the players, or their relatives. Nor do I believe the auditors of the companies the third party payments would be coming from would find them sums involved given it's RL we're talking about.
The other chestnut is players receiving gifts such as driveways, kitchens, computers, holidays and cars. All easily done outside of the cap.
I'm 100% positive that there will eventually be a scandal involving salary cap cheating. For example a player releasing an autobiography claiming his wife was paid £200,000 to work in JJB or such.

| all you need to know, is that for a long time, the rfl always used to come check the salary cap/books a the HJ before any other club, as it was a piece of , straightforward and they used us a benchmark.
Now, if you take into account the impending storm that threatened to drag the club down according to every fan of every other club inthe league, relating to the image rights payments last year not being exempt, or whatever. There may have been an issue but it was made clear at the time we were talking with the rfl mid season in order to sort it out, and according to chris hicks and his "I gots to get paid" comment in the league express the other week, we've just not paid the money.
Problem solved, nothing to worry about, let oppo fans carry on making up.

Alot of pure fantasy in that post. I think you'll find it's much harder to "hide" extra payments and gifts than you think it is. Even small things such as a few quid raised by a raffle at a testimonial event get the taxman sniffing, so to think a club could easily hide several hundred thousand pounds is absurd. And I can assure you WWRLFC are not.

Why are you the clubs accountant or you just guessing what the players are earning. We have never gone over the salary cap due to staying within the rules unlike other super league teams.

It's not fantasy, all of those examples are possible and wouldn't be found unless someone wanted them to. It is not at all hard to 'hide' payments made from third party companies to other third party companies.
It's naive to assume things are tidy and everyone is now whiter than white, just because they say they are.
Does the Melbourne example not ring any alarm bells? That is a far more professional competition, far more strictly examined and they didn't get anywhere near finding them until they were tipped off. I'm not suggesting teams definitely are cheating, but there are more than enough ways they could if they were desperate.

Always makes me laugh when i see that, naivety at its finest. The only thing that is live is the contract that is submitted, quite easy as Storm have proved to break the salary cap in other ways...
Before you get all upset, im not accusing Warrington or anybody of breaking the cap...

Saddened, before you continue to waffle $h!te, do us all a favour, and list the squads of ourselves, Saints, Wigan, Leeds & Hull, and then estimate each individuals salary.
Total each side up and I bet that not one of them is significantly higher or lower than any other.....The Salary Cap accusation aimed at Wire is just jealously, pure and simple, based on the fact that we have a benefactor who is not afraid to spend cash in the transfer market, which, just to clear up, as balls all to do with the cap.
