Give over. In the last 2 years in SL if you had all your players fit you'd still have probably lost.
9-10 players is a valid excuse. If 10 players were missing from the Warrington side this season you wouldn't win a game. Same goes for probably all the teams.

Leeds will be inthe semi-finals, comfortably.'"
Semi-finals (the playoffs?) - maybe, comfortably (top four) - I doubt it.
They still have injuries, and are now eight points behind wigan, six points behind ourselves and Saints and four points behind Hull Huddersfield and Wakey. They have probably had the easiest opening fixtures out of any of the 'challengers' having already played four of the five teams below them. They are going to be missing players for several weeks yet. Even when those players regain fitness it will take a week or three for them to get back upto speed.
In order to finish top four they are already looking like they would need a comeback of Lazarus proportions, and even then rely on a few of those above them dropping a lot of points. A disasterous Easter (two defeats) could leave them eight points away from fourth, ten from second and twelve off the top.
Top four isn't beyond them (yet), but they need to either start getting some 'senior' players back very soon, or find a way to start winning with the squad they have available. The main thing in their favour is that if/when they start to get their top players back on the pitch they should be hitting the business end of the season comparitively fresh.

They will finish in the top eight, comfortably and will be contesting a GF spot, comfortably.

| I agree to a degree with the OP..
We had a similar injury crisis (3 years ago i think) and we were told we were making excuses for poor performances..
Hull F.C. had serious injury crisis's 2 seasons running and had the same thing said to them..
At the start of this season a lot of people were saying Leeds easily have the strongest squad in the league, with one or two actually predicting they would go through the season unbeaten..
During the Wigan v Leeds match on Friday Eddie and Stevo spent most of the match crying about this injury ravaged Leeds side...

How come the last 2 seasons when Warrington had 9-10 out injured regularly ,they kept saying you can't use your injury list to take the blame for losing super league games you have a squad and should keep winning ,but now Leeds are in the same predicament it's Oh it's a shame you can't blame Leeds they have too many players out injured !
what come around goes around ! It's a shame isn't it !
Who is "they"?
Eddie and Phil Clarke always used the injury list to explain Warrington's defeats, when their Sky mate Cullen was our coach.
Also Leeds get the benefit of the doubt because when they had players fit, they won 3 Grand Finals in a row, so when they are struggling its out of character. We were generally crap with players fit and crap with players out, before Smith took over.

| There are 19 regular round matches to go. Leeds have 6 points.
In 2009, to have finished fourth, a club needed 35 points, i.e. 15 out of the next 19 games - hard, but not impossible for Leeds.
In 2008 and 2007, they would have needed 29 and 30 points, i.e. 12 out of the next 19 games - highly likely.
Therefore, I am pretty confident in predicting Leeds will finish top 4.

| In past seasons 15 wins from 19 games would be a very acheivable target for Leeds, however IMO there are two major obstacles to doing that in 2010. Firstly they are current under the cosh with injuries and it isn't as if they are all going to heal over the next few days. Secondly, in past seasons the competition has effectlively been a two horse race, that is far from the case this year.
I am certainly not dismissing Leeds chances, but IMO it is starting to look unlikely that they will make the top four. Having said that, if there is any team that is capable of going all the way from outside the top four, then (assuming they have most of their squad available by then) it would be Leeds.

You are missing the point though.Leeds ARE NOT mentioning or making injuries an excuse. It's only the Sky pundits that go on about it like they have to do with anything no matter who it involves
