Quote: ST_CONROY "As i've said a number of times. Morley gets a hell of a lot of respect for his time in Aus. He was outstanding, and being a Roosters fan i watched him a number of times. That said, i don't see the fascination with Aus being the only way to prove you are world class, and secondly the discussion isn't about previously it is about this season.'"

Steve Bull scored endless goals for Wolves in the lower divisions but would never be called world class.

To be considered as one of the world's best you have to play at the top level. The NRL is head and shoulders above Super League as a test of a player's ability. I would love to go and see Graham test himself in the NRL. If he does and comes away with his reputation not only intact but heightened as Morley did then he can stand aside Morley in relation to his standing in the WORLD of rugby league.

Quote: WireFanatic II "So you've watched a lot more RL than Chris Irvine has this season to make that judgment? You're a simple Saints fan trying to be a forum keyboard warrior. Chris Irvine is a well respected Rugby League journalist.

Let's face it, I'd take anything Irvine says over anything you say every day of the week. Hell, I'd even listen to Nosey Parker before listening to you.

However, if you feel like you can do a better job, why don't you email Chris and tell him personally. Or apply for a RL journalist position. Let me know when you have done it.'"

Woah go easy St Conroy is the guy who broke the news that Stuart Reardon was fit to play months before he was released by Warrington. The fact he is still not fit is all part of the "Reardon-Gate" scandal.

Ah yes, I do remember that now, Herb. Boy, that was a doozy of a comment. I hope Hull FC's doctors have been struck off for even assuming that Reardon was not fit.

All good knockabout fun but Chris McKean has a point. Why not argue on the facts rather than attacking the one posting a thought?

There is the germ of a good thread here because whislt our pack has, on occasion, really driven us forward, at other times we've been torn apart. It looks a good pack, but it HAS failed on far too many occasions.

That is the failure of the collective not the individual. Just supports the fact that Morley has been even more exceptional than Graham this year.

If they were the same age etc ? I probably wouldn't.

I think Graham has Fielden Mark II written all over him, way too many minutes, too much burden and heading for burnout by the time he's 28. I see next season being any different neither, the addition of Fozzard just looking like another depleted pack with Graham doing alot of work yet again.

He's a fantastic player, I'd just like to see Saints look after his interests & long term future a little better, that said, the clammer to win stuff every year is such that they've just got to do what they are doing to him, flogging him to death.

I agree. I've a bit of an issue with this clamour over James Graham, with much of it being based on the meters he makes, yet his average meter gained is pretty average, and when it comes to getting you out of your own 20 with a hard drive and a quick ptb, I'd choose Morley and Carvell every time.

Too often now Graham gets put on his back, as he is a marked man, and gets up slowly looking disgusted at the referee.

After last years Grand Final, I made the comment in the stadium to a mate who is a Saints fan, that he needs to stop thinking he is a Stand Off, and start taking the ball in. Against Leeds in that game, they weren't falling for his link play (we do every time!), and he just looked like a 2nd rate halfback instead of a world class prop.

I'd love to see him playing 40-50 minutes a game in two spells just like Morley and Carvell, as that is when we will see his best IMHO.

Graham should do what Burgess looks to be doing; testing yourself against the best.

The NRL is not the best. The World Club champions are nearly always SL teams.

He can test himself against the best when the Kiwis are over for the Four Nations.

if you have watched the nrl, you will know that it is ten times harder and tougher than super league. if you have watched the nrl and dont know that, then you have some serious problems.
