When I look at the other Wire boys he looks big and tough to me. I like the Saints version too.

Compared to our props at the moment, he's more difficult to put down.

Considering our best win of the season was with Mata'utia and Dean at half-back, it couldn't get any worse trying them again against Saints. At least we'd have more of an excuse than if we play our two marquee players there.

I went on a coach holiday to Warrington once, but the culturally superior erudite Warrington folks smashed our bus windows.

We've only been competitive for the first half against both Wigan & Catalans, and even though these are two of the best three sides in the league, it doesn't bode well for the future. Feels like there's so many more things that need fixing since DP took over. Just hope we hit the lower limit that TS had at Harleguins, some time soon and start improving. Otherwise, we might be looking at another change of coach as we get to the beginning of August.

But is the coach the problem? What do we do next, bring in another coach in the hope of scraping some more mediocrity from the dead wood? If there's trouble in the camp with what the coach wants to change, remove the trouble and give the coach the chance to reboot things. He does at least have a record of improving clubs to back himself up. The senior players seem to have a record of being highly paid bridesmaids.

I'm afraid quite a few of our players are not as good as last year. They are on that slippery slope that happens to us all. Our younger boys, though lively, lack the size to take on Cats/Saints unless they are in lots of space. Oh stop being so miserable Smiffy!

Remember Matt King's car windows being smashed at Castleford.

We were competitive in the first half v Wigan?? Anyway, its taken Watson a full season to weed out the bad apples at Huddersfield. They were shocking in his first season and look at them now.

I don't disagree with you, but a coach is solely judged on results. Should we be in the relegation fight at the beginning of August, then it may be a case of the board making the easiest change, which is the coach.

It’s simple for me the coach stays and is given the chance to do his job backed fully by the board.

No excuses we've been in the doldrums far too long so revolutionary change is the only option for me.

This season isn't a papering over the cracks exercise

Powell must stay for the season even though I am beginning to have some doubts. When a prop tries a grubber it makes you wonder what's been happening in training in the last two weeks. Wells kept pointing out out our problems in the 20. At times we looked like headless chickens so either Powell is not getting his message across or players aren't listening.

The only time we’ve looked remotely dangerous in the opposition twenty this season is when Dean played for 120 mins

Powell must be feeling some pressure. To try and blame the officials after a 40-8 hammering is quite frankly embarrassing.

He must regret bringing Holmes with him and awarding such a long contract.

His judgement is badly compromised.
