Hudds won and they were the better team but they were the best of a bad bunch.

Did Hudds defend well? How hard is it to defend 5 drives and a kick? Ask the Wigan fans that watched Wigan almost get relegated a few seasons back.

Did Hudds attack well? One try in the first half that looked dubious, one penalty one drop goal and a sloppy defended try by Cudjoe.
Considering the time spent in our half, considering all the ball we coughed up and that was it, wasn't that great of an attacking performance tbh.

Did they deserve to win? ABSOLUTELY they did, but don't make out it was a phenomenal performance ffs, it was a dire game, played by 2 dire teams on the night.
I left early out of boredom, i rarely do that. Ive seen us hammered by Saints and stayed till the end but at least one team was entertaining on that occasion.
Awful game, glad i didn't take anyone to that as their first taster like the guy behind did with some Americans.

There were quite a few occasions where you had shifted it and we looked done defensively but then we got back and scrambled well, there was one where Cudjoe, came out and hammered Currie, when you would have had a 3 on 1, another where Murphy stopped Evans, who looked like he only had to walk over the line, and numerous other example of good defence, Broughy and Wardle both put some shuddering hits in on your wide runners, so it's not just down to wire being pants.

Awful game? i thought it was a tremendous tussle between 2 committed teams in atrocious conditions, you must be the sort of fan who only thinks 44-36 games are exciting?

Dubious try in the first half? how was it dubious? Centre draws the defence and throws a superb one handed pass to winger who dives over.
Sloppy defended try? maybe, but what about good angled running by the 2nd rower to create the gap for the centre to power through?

We all have different views but yours just come across as sour grapes really.

Not sour grapes, i like tight games, i don't like games that look like they should be contested on a pitch in a park on a wet Sunday in front of 5 people and a dog

I would say the most deserving team won last night, but will the last two losses provide the necessary kick up the Wire's collective booty ?

I assume he meant the two consecutive losses.
I would be interested to see our stats on how we back up wins against Wigan, I always seem to remember us beating them but then losing our next game or two, and it has happened again.
Next two weeks are huge, it's not inconceivable for us to lose both and be out of the top three/four.
With a full squad/Sandow fit we will be there or there abouts.

It's all very disappointing. I was starting to think we were the real deal after the Wigan game but not now, not without Sandow.

Don't worry, I think you'll win all your middle8 games, maybe the Leeds game will be tough but you'll get there

Oh wow. I think this highlights JUST HOW BAD Huddersfield must have been so far this year if their fans thought the game was good.

That game was dire and not just because we lost. I'd have died of boredom if it had of gone on any longer and we still wouldn't have scored.

I've been racking my brains and I genuinely can't remember a worse game served up in recent years by two SL sides.

I'm disappointed but I'm also over the game now. I'm very concerned at our lack of creativity without Sandow though. Also that we still appear unable to play smart in conditions like last night. All well and good playing good dry weather football but come GF in October its invariably crap weather.

We lost v Hull it was a good game, we lost v Saints it was a good game, we lost v you, it was a terrible game...not bitter just saying the game was dogs**t. If you disagree then I'm glad I don't have to watch Huddersfield every week.

And when you played hull and saints what were the conditions like? I'm not saying it was pretty but that doesn't make it less enjoyable for me. I appreciate the graft, the teamwork and the tactics.
Do you watch very much rugby outside of superleague. And you must have forgotten winter rugby if you were ever there. Rugby is not all fancy passes and full lengthers. Having Sandow out there would have made little difference because the conditions didn't warrant fancy passes. It demanded a game where you defend hard, respect possession play out your sets and play for territory. A tactic that hudds worked to perfection. Wire did the first bit but failed with the rest. You didn't kick smart- it was a case of boot it and hope for the best. The twice you did kick smart once with a spiralling bomb into the pelting rain and swirling wind that came off for you - but then you tried to force the pass in terrible conditions soon after. The other was the kick to the corner and it was just fantastic defence that prevented you scoring. a shame the stats aren't available because id say you made more metres per carry than we did, and I bet the tackle count was high for both sides. Michael Lawrence made 60 tackles for us in that game. Tactically you got that game wrong.

I almost wrote about winter rugby and the low scores, but we never had wrestling rucks then and teams had their own individual styles. Friday was drive, tackle, drive, tackle etc.
Or in our case drive, tackle, drive, knock on.

Not fussed on the reasons or the conditions as to why it was tedious, it was tedious non the less.
