| What Mark M said. That's Sculthorpe, every moment of every live long day. Roper. What a player he could and should have been. Just goes to show that raw talent only takes you so far...

A disgraceful waste of talent. This lad should have been GB's centre for a decade, yet decided to go through the motions as soon as Dorahay left. His good games in DVDV's reign could've been counted on the fingers of one hand.
He seemed to lose a bit of interest when the SL contracts were dished out, bought himself a Golf convertable, and thought he was the canine's testicles. SHAME. He was a fantastic prospect.

| Quote: rubber duckie "I just never got it with Andy Currier.
He was the catalyst and goal kicker in the (NRL) Winfield Cup a couple of seasons before he joined us.
He just wouldn't have it. Its obvious from him being a Smelly, he hated being at Warrington.
Some fans give Big Roy a dig...
Some fans gave Steve Roach a dig...
...but these guys look to be pulverising stone into dust compared with Andy Currier.
A complete disgrace to P&B.'"
Currier was the biggest wage thief I've ever seen in our colours. For those of a keen memory, I'll remind you of a game against Halifax in the strange Centenary season. We're losing with a minute to go, with us camped out on their line, ball's played, and all the useless twunt has to do is catch the ball (with no one in 5 yards off him), and he waves his hand at it and and knock on....still didn't give a Fcuk....que the whole ground giving him "a piece of their mind"
Other notable inclusions in this band of brothers include
Terry Day
Paul Younane
Steve Roach (until Sir Les landed again at M/cr airport)
Asotasi
and Appo (post 2003)

| My view of Currier, other than to concur that he was so lazy he'd have farted in the bath to save lathering the water, was that he got found out a little bit at Warrington. He played in a gloriously talented WIdnes team, similarly so at Balmain but at Warrington he looked a very, very mediocre player, with attitude to match.
I actually always felt Andrew Gee was another whose effort / wages ratio was vastly askew. When you compare his attitude with Danny Nutley for example, he barely raised enough of a gallop to ruffle the laces on his boots.
As for Roper, he was good, thought he was better, could have been superb but still wasn't fit to lace Paul Newlove's boots. Alas for us, and fortunately for Bradford & Saints Newlove had the attitude to match his superior abilities.

| Andy Currier couldn't even bend over when we signed him as his back was that bad. Lefty, you are not even close to scraping the barrel here, what about Adam Doyle, or Craig Teitzel, or.......this could go on and really doesn't belong in a thread about Joel Monaghan

I never thought I'd see the day I'd defend Adam Doyle, but nontheless here I am defending Adam Doyle.
Slow? Yes
Bereft of vision? Yes
Lacklustre? Undoubtedly
Cynically plundering wages in the name of apathy? No, sorry.
He tried, bless him, and whilst his lack of ability was visible from deepest reaches of space, he kept trying.

Tietzel, iirc, was a recommendation by Sir Les. Proof that legends can get it wrong. Don! T remember him being particularly lazy, just him being crap.
can we also include Mark Jones

I take it back, he was very trying.

I don't recall buying tablets from you.
Back to the video perhaps I'm wrong but it looked like Mike Wainwright because of the headgear.

Sir, with all due respect, between this and your thread advocating the signing of Richard Horne I regretfully have to inform you, that stand offs, aren't your specialist subject.
