Been thinking about this today and if I was Smith I would decide to go on Sky Sports News and toss a coin. Potentially an embarrassing tactic, but then so was Eric Pollard announcing last year that Wigan had chosen Leeds so that they could give us the final everybody wanted!

What actually happened is that the RFL put the entire play-off package to the clubs, not just the club call. There wasn't really an alternative.

Yes, because it's part of the package. The whole play-off package was put to the teams, not just Clubcall.
