Nice to see some very fair opinions on the game.

At the end of the day that is why we watch RL: a fantastic match, a fantastic atmosphere and I am not at all a disappointed Saints fan.

After last week I don't think many of us thought we had a chance of another Grand Final but hopefully it gives our players the belief that we have every chance and it even shows us how you are beatable, which is possibly due to the fact you didn't play as well as you could have or maybe it was the fact that we played well to counter what you do so well, who knows but I'm sure we will find out come October.

The most immense thing was that kick out on the full off the crossbar, I was dunging my undies as I thought it was a dropout. I nearly did a little wee when I realised it was a penalty on halfway. Fine margins in sport, eh.

You know in 30+ years of watching RL I've never seen that before. It's the sort of thing that would happen [iagainst[/i us playing Saints normally.

I think during the 80s the Widnes Cup Kings perfected kicking at the crossbar and scoring. I don't think that was the target tonight though.

I saw a field kick bounce off the crossbar to Dave Chisnall to score against Wigan at Central Park in the 70's, a cup match I think.

I think you should get 10 points for hitting the crossbar. Call it the crossbar challenge and the winner gets a car and a new kitchen too.

One would assume not. Otherwise every team would try it from every kick off. You'd probably hit it a few times a season. The aim of the kick was to just miss the bar but have it's closeness to it put the defenders off and make them drop it. Wire had real trouble with the kick offs tonight.
