| Not sure if it’s been mentioned, can’t be mithered reading back, but Lees absolutely right to call out Drinkwater, though my irony meter did go through the roof given Ritson’s actions 5 minutes previous to that!
Simple, get rid of the video ref review of things, I’m absolutely in favour of tidying dangerous contact up, but it’s ruining the game as a spectacle. I didn’t bother watching the game back because I knew the breaks would bother me.
Sort it out RFL or you’ll lose customers.

| I think SB is right, if a player stays down for a certain period it is an automatic 11 days out for concussion protocols.

No it's a silly idea that hasn't been thought through. What if they stay down rubbing their knee? You just incentivise another form of skullduggery. We shouldn't jump to an automatic assumption that players are faking: most of the time they are not.
If someone goes down with suspected head contact or concussion from a 'whiplash' type tackle, they should be off for 10 minutes' HIA straightaway. No 'how many fingers' and then skipping away to play the ball as soon as a penalty has been given. It's a safety issue. If they are fit and well, back they come after 10 minutes.

| If someone goes down with a whiplash type tackle they can't take them off straightaway, they have to go through the process to make sure they've not got any spinal/neurological issues,
You're ALWAYS gonna have that stoppage with that type of suspected injury.

You should watch the game back it's worth it.
Whilst drinkwater was embarrassing, it'd matty lees' own fault for being a cowardly cheap shop merchant, despite being carded he still hit someone in the back in Identical fashion after he came back on. He could try cleaning up his act.

That's fine, award the HIA straight away and then give the medical staff the time they need to get the player off the pitch safely.

| Oh for the days when not every match was televised and there wasn't always a video ref to play up to.

Not it was late contact causing flexion to the head, neck or spinal column.

Guidance on Grading for Dangerous Contact (Late hit on passer)
The RFL has been asked to provide further clarity around the guidance used for determining
the grade of Dangerous Contact charges, specifically for the charge under Law 15.1 (i):
Behaves in any way contrary to the true spirit of the game (includes Dangerous
Contact)
[iA defending player makes contact with an opponent after the ball has been
released by an opponent in a vulnerable position which causes flexion to the
head, neck or spinal column on an attacking player, which poses an
unacceptable risk of injury to that player.[/i
For the avoidance of doubt, this document relates solely to this particular section contained
within Dangerous Contact of the On Field Sentencing Guidelines pursuant to the above
Charge. It is not intended to apply to any additional contact to the head offences which fall
under Laws 15.1 (a) Trips, kicks or strikes another player, 15.1 (b) When tackling or attempting
to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of an opponent or 15.1 (k) Shoulder Charge.
The Laws of the Game serve to protect players from concussions and sub concussions caused
by flexion to the head, neck or spinal column as a result of intentional, reckless or careless
late hits.
Any contact with a player after he or she has released the ball amounts to Misconduct pursuant
to the Laws of the Game.
Players have a duty to their opponents to operate within the Laws of the Game.

| Lees is an absolute liability and isn’t good enough to offset that. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near my side. Saints have splashed a bit of cash on their backs for next season when their pack needs a lot of work IMO.

I think Lees would be great under Burgess, but agreed their pack needs work.

| They looked knackered on Sat and not just Walmsley. Delaney had been on 5 minutes when he was struggling to get back into the line.
