| Quote: Monsieur Invisible "Only a person who hasn't recently set foot inside Cantilever Park could possibly believe that is has a capacity of 3,500.
Googling means nothing. You could fit 10 people in a mini or 10,000 in the South Stand at the HJ if you pack them in like sardines, but you won't get a yhealthand safety certificate for it.
The capacity is around 1,500 unless modifications are made.'"
Agree completely.
I was there against North Ferriby and the attendance was approximately 700 and in places the view wasn't that great so to double the crowd would make it worse.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but there were only 3 or 4 turnstiles in one corner where all fans had to enter and exit the ground (actually exiting through the turnstiles!).
I would have thought that without major changes (in only a week) that Health & Safety and the Police would have something to say about that!

| More importantly, they need more than 2 girls on the bar and enough lager that they don't sell out by 3:20pm!

And it's BBC's first FA Cup tie for 6 years. Great place to start!

And afterwards. Our coach went without us because of it. Leaving me and my dad stranded in London with no money.
I was always told that West Ham turned up after getting a kicking in the Cheese when they stopped in there en route too a game in the North West.
There was also trouble at the semi finals as well. I'm sure someone got stabbed.

| Reading all the stuff about Cantilever Park on here, I can't help but think that Town are going to be guilty of a huge PR disaster by playing the game at their ramshackle ground.
I mean, considering how the club are attempting to raise the profile of the club and entice some new supporters, how better to treat those potential new supporters than by getting them to stump up some decent, hard-earned cash, herd them into a glorified park ground and for most of those new supporters, get to spend most of the evening looking at the back of somebody's head?
Now, I'm all for the romance of the Cup, but Cantilever Park is no better than Rylands Rec - Actually, there is more chance of seeing the game at Rylands Rec.... While its a fantastic moment for the club, I think come the following Saturday morning, there will be an outpouring of complaints from people who will feel ripped off by the whole 'restricted view' experience and will probably be put off ever going to a Town game again, which will surely be the exact opposite of what they want to achieve.

| I would have gone, had it been moved to the HJ, and I've never seen them play in my life.

| I'll be going wherever they play it.
I'm a Warringtonian and they represent my town and me.

15 quid to look at the back of somebody's head, or sat at home watching it on the telly??.... Its a no brainer.
Like I say, I hate to be negative, but it will be a PR disaster - Also, after Hillsborough, I didn't think the potential for some serious crowding issues would ever be entertained ever again?
I appreciate the FA wanting to keep clubs playing in their own grounds, but this isn't a quaint village side with a single small ground, its a large town side, who have a 15,000 capacity stadium sat empty a mile up the road.

| Not sure how true this is but was speaking to a work associate who works, shall we say, close to Media City. He was saying that the talk around MC is that the game being held at CP is part of a deal with the BBC. The FA Cup is now back on the BBC and the BBC has always sold the competition on history, fairytales, David V Goliath. Non-league team in their first ever FA cup, playing at their little small ground V League opposition fits the bill nicely.
OK so its all he said/she said/they said/heresay stuff but it might just explain why Town are not to bothered about playing the game infront of a potential bigger (money spinner) crowd.

| Sold out although they will probably be getting some tickets returned by Exeter during the week. 2,500 tickets sold, it'll be a bit of a squeeze.

This.
I went to get tickets at 3:30 this afternoon, the earliest I could get there, and the "SOLD OUT" signs were up. I was hoping to get 3 tickets.
I was not the only one who turned up only to be disappointed and having to turn straight round to go home.
I went to the North Ferriby match and, albeit I'm a Watford fan, would have loved to support the local team against Exeter.
Disappointed!
