Let's deal with the facts here.

Matt King is an employee of Warrington RLFC and the supporters are paying customers.

Staff who work for me are often faced with personal abuse from disgruntled customers. However, if any of them turned around and told the customer to "!@*# off" they'd be sacked for gross misconduct - whatever the provocation. What's happened here is no different and a failure to act will only make matters worse.

FWIW I think you should get behind the team whilst they're on the pitch. After the final whistle if you want to boo or voice your displeasure at [ithe team [/ithat's your choice, personal insults are not going to improve a player's performance. It's a team game, and we ain't playing anything like a team.

whats your profession and do u agree with your staff getting personel abuse, what do you do to protect your staff from this, the old saying two wrongs dont make it right. no one in whatever profession should be subject to abuse,

The ref & linesmen get verbal abuse every single week from every fan in RL you don't see them giving it back do you????

I wondered what that was all about - I missed the hand gesture but did see the moron running over to the rail to shout abuse at him.

The whole thing is totally out of order - King was still trying hard to the end more than could be said for some.Hicks in particular looked like he couldn't be bothered - bottling collecting the kick through for Quins penultimate try.
I actually felt sorry for him to be honest - he doesn't deserve that. And I don't think that just because you pay your money means that you can behave like that.

Also - I saw one bloke with a busted nose at half time. Overhearing urinal chat - it sounded like one of our own fans had smacked him. Does anyone know what that was all about?

King is uffering because when you signed him he was a current Aussie test player with a big rep. From what I've seen of Warrington he has recieved little to no service out wide so I'm not sure what you expect him to do. When I first saw Monaghan I was impressed, I thought he looked a decent signing for you lot but maybe he just cant form a partnership with briers??

Maybe it's him that is the real culprit in all of this?
