A new more cartoony wolf badge. Superleague got a new S logo as well when he was with them. Top drawer performance that. I'm sure he did plenty of other things well.

The same 3-year Warranty. We just couldn't afford the servicing.

Indeed. I'm led to believe that was a rather expensive exercise. Lots of money on branding consultation and little to show for it. Maybe he did more work with top-line potential sponsors, who knows?

Was he involved with the Emirates shirt deal? That was great work to be fair, although the team and club was a lot more marketable back then. Get the team performances right and the crowds and sponsorship opportunities will follow (note the team we had playing in the bensons for beds kits does go against this statement). The CEO has a much easier job if he has a successful team as a backdrop to all of their dealings.

| Quote: easyWire "So if KFP says Powell has six games, he’ll need to qualify that. Is it six wins? Six solid performances? Sounds like a throwaway quip to satisfy the masses. Not very professional. The best reply would have been to quietly smile while showing some empathy, and apologise for not being able to discuss club matters.
Maybe it’s best to leave former players to other roles in the business, such as player management. Making statements like that in public just defers blame and puts more pressure on the team.'"

Nope he didn't, I know Emirates were cutting back on sponsorship but apparently draper's stewardship didnt even try yo convince them to hang around as sponsors.
This was surprising as he wanted to go all in with them, and get rid of every other advertising partner in the stadium, so it looked cleaner.
He spent a lot of money on consultants, and on a website that's as good/bad as the previous one.
I'll keep pointing this out when ppl point out that kf is an unqualified unsuitable ceo.(he may be).
But we had the longstanding chair person of the LTA who was given the boot, and also the fella that brought Wembley in horrendously over budget.
He left us in a position financially, left here quickly for a bigger job and then left sl/rfl quickly for another job.
He was 'qualified', just seemed to be very good at spending other peoples money.

| I wasn't impressed by Draper, same as I was never that convinced Deakin was the saviour he was thought of by some.
Andy Gatcliffe was the guy for me - didn't spend his life talking to the media, just got on with things behind the scenes and made the club more professional on and off the field.

If there's even an ounce of truth to this rumour that Fitzpatrick is mouthing off to anyone who is interested about Powell's future and a supposed 6 match trial period, then if I was Powell, I'd be telling Fitzpatrick to stuff his job, and I'd be resigning tomorrow.
If that is even close to being true, then Fitzpatrick needs removing from his job ASAP, simply because a supposed professional sports club cannot be conducting its business in such a laughably amateur way.
The days of hearing club business down the pub, or from your local taxi driver really should have ended decades ago. It probably highlights why we are seen as such an amateur run enterprise.

It was Deakin who brokered the deal with Tesco to build the HJ for us, and for that he deserves total respect.

Completely agree and I can say with absolute certainty that it was said, I was there. I’m not a staunch “anti-kiss cam” or anything like that, but I think the club’s ambition from the terraces needs to be matched in the boardroom. This feels like an over-correction from corporate Roger.

| Somewhat confused, is Jake Clifford touted as our new CEO or have I missed something by only reading the last 3 pages?

I'm genuinely curious to know the context of this conversation - was this said during some official fan's forum, or was this loose talk after a few pints with a few mithering fans, looking for an exclusive to brag about later to their mates?
If it was the former, then I can accept that to an extent. If it was the latter, then it's simply unforgivable and Fitzpatrick needs firing immediately.

Even if it’s the former, I’m not convinced by that sort of leadership. He’s the CEO of an organisation with a relatively high public profile (in the context of top-division sport). I’d expect him to possess the necessary skill set to appease fans without disclosing corporate decisions and policies that clearly belong behind closed doors. Unless of course Powell has agreed to this and the club are about to make some press announcement concerning a six-game trial. I seriously doubt that though.
