| This forum is really deteriorating into a tedious, repetitive borefest, isn't it?..
Every post seems to turn into the same old depressives moaning about how the club is being run, whether at board or coaching level.
Fellas, what about logging off to February, find a hobby or two and just learn to find some positives in life - Crying about a rugby team isn't how you be needing to spend your hours, honestly...

Totally with you on this. Mind you a few have had the "same old depressive moan" for the last ten years. It's how we are.

You are correct, it is tedious and painful. The in-fighting and slagging each other off is grim too. But, in the interests of perspective, it is hardly unexpected after the season we have had which is the worst in a generation. A lot of people feel duped, frustrated and embarrassed.
In terms of positives for 2023 I am looking forward to seeing how our new pack perform next season. It may be the first time in a decade we have a truly fearsome pack with a bit of mongrel about it.

It really is, I agree.
From here on in the disillusioned ones amongst us will bow to your greater experience and foresight. We now understand that Mr Powell and his handpicked coaching team have so far picked out the real bad apples in the squad, they just wanted menace and didn't want to win trophies at all.
The coaching squad have developed training and development programmes building improved personal and team skills in combination with game plans individually developed to ensure we win against the best the competition can pitch us against. The fact we have lost an inordinate number of games is unfortunate but will set us up bigger and stronger for our subsequent seasons.
The casual criticism of individual players by Mr Powell, especially the younger ones making their way in the game is for their benefit, if we break their confidence now, they simply were not good enough for us the mighty Wire.
We have a number of new recruits joining us next year which is good news. They have plenty of grey haired experience and what may seem like a SAGA holiday for Aussie forwards will provided us with the hard headed grunt up front which we need and completely change the culture sadly lacking for several years.
Now this may take 2 or 3 years to develop us into a team of world beaters, Rome wasn't built in a day, we will stand by Mr Powell regardless of what happens to results because we know he is the best coach Warrington could acquire, we are lucky to have him and should not criticise him if once again he gives us reasons for another loss which are of course always just and fair.
Thus, with us all singing from the same hymn sheet, this forum will be a much happier and creative place. Disagreements will stop and our lives will be enriched by not being questioned by the trouble makers who have a different point of view.
Long live the King, Mr Powell.
There you go, fixed it for you. Sunny uplands here we come. Join the queue for next years season tickets and Grand Final, or possibly the year after, or the year after that....
Yours happily.

| Could the critical & confrontational atmosphere on the forum have been tempered by the club announcing ,on Powell's appointment that his remit was to strip the squad back to basics & rebuild in the mode of DP ? Or would that have hit season ticket sales ?

Well it will certainly hit season ticket sales for next year.....and by the time the Powell's 3 year plan comes to fruition in 2024 the club will make a fortune because there will be minimal season ticket sales and everyone will be paying full price on the door on matchday, just like I did this year for the games I was able to attend....

| Is Warrington too big of a club for Powell?
Is the like of Cas within his depth?
Asking for a friend.

| Powell did a similar hatchet job and did a mass clear-out at Leeds.
When he had done all the dirty work, Hetherington sacked him too and appointed Tony Smith.

Some bosses are good at hatchet jobs but less successful at building winning teams, rugby or business.
Other bosses are successful at building good teams but poor at hatchet jobs.
Looks like Hetherington, who knows Powell very well, decided on the first option.
Will Warrington?

This patient has been in a vegetative state for ten years, with the occasional twitch of a finger.

| I still think Powell is the right man for the job, and believe he has the right players next year.
My belief and positivity will keep me warm through a cold cold Winter

Great idea, a portion of Ready Brek and dose of delusion is the obvious panacea for rising heating bills.
BTW I'm only jesting OT I hope that your optimism is well founded and will wait till next year for my thoughts on Powell.

| To be fair (and I don’t believe I’m saying this) but Rubber Duckie is right, packs win games. The money invested and not just the sheer size, but the experience brought in, we should bully our way into the top 6 (anything less is an abject failure), and if we can get any kind of system where Williams and Dufty get some good ball in space we could find ourselves in the mix by sheer dumb luck.
If we have a miraculous defensive improvement, find a kicking game and can get the ball to Ashton in space, we might even have something to look forward to.
Still, I’ll be saving my season ticket money this year. Invest it in memory loss juice instead…

i dunno, i've questioned the Hull Fc mythical pack on here lots, their results have kinda proved me correct. i think there's a bit more to it than just big bodies.
we could do with come back rowers that tackle for the big bodies up front
