Realistically, other than Toulouse (who we don’t want to strengthen) I’m not sure anyone in the Super League would want to take him on right now. Maybe at the end of the season someone would pick him up. In Aus, I’m not so sure how highly he is thought of, but with floating the idea I think.
Frustrating though, the recruiting is way off the mark. Him, J Clark and Bullock all signed or resigned for this season and none can make the 17.

Or be happy to leave without taking any further salary / pay off. I guess we'll hear more details about it as it progresses, looks like he's going though, and I can't see why the club would go through with it unless to free up cap space?
Edit: https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/ne ... k-forward/
I guess this means he was happy to walk away with nothing.

All depends on salary doesn't it? If they are getting paid a salary that suggests they should be playing regularly then its a problem, If they have been signed with the expectation they will take up a 'squad place', then not so much of an issue, J Clark especially, I can't see him being on a salary that suggests he should be in the 17.

It’s tough to say. I think these players, Davis can go in that bracket too, are in between first team and reserves.
I would have rolled them three salaries together and kept Hill. Butler is no worse than those three and Doro shows raw potential.

Not sure how many games Bullock has missed this season when available?
Yes, he was dropped for the recent Wakefield game, and he didn`t make that game, but he has been selected most games this season.
If Toulouse had signed Magoulias, I don`t think it would strengthen their team.

Maybe, but I thought Harrison may well take a shot at that position also, maybe the timing is linked to Harrison’s availability? Not sure. Depending on how Powell wants to play it, Amor or Philbin could probably do a job there too, especially with the addition of Mikaele, I wouldn’t rule out another incoming signing as well, especially if Charnley leaves early.

| Plus, add to this, Saints have made an offer for Ratchford for the remainder of the season.

Haven`t heard that anywhere before.
Please post a link on here, if you have one.

| Ratchford to saints won't happen, we need the cover for Halfback/fullback.
All the best to Billy, he came over and it didn't work out simple as.
And like Alffi said, Harrison could be earmarked for the 13 position, and Jason Clark is there for back up and experience. So we're not any weaker really with Billy leaving. Does his wage come off the cap as he's been released, or does it stay on? I must admit we've discussed salary cap with players leaving etc but i still can't work it out?

| This season is getting surreal. It has just felt like a revolving door, with players coming, going or suddenly becoming out of favour and being discarded. The atmosphere in and around the team must be very strange. It feels like it's either going to make or break us, in the long run.

feels a lot like 2001, when dv2 left, anderson took over and there was a revolving door of trialists in and out till the end of teh season, and poor performances

Yes, I tend to agree.
It seemed obvious to me that when DP came in he'd want to make changes and some players would fall out of favour - it's not uncommon, although I don't think Saints seem to have this problem - so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out.
Those changes were always going to cause upset, but allied to the losses it hits the squads' confidence.
Watching from afar
