| the mcIlorum tackle at the end summed up catalans game, seconds left, he went launching himself at a cynical high tackle, safe in the knowledge that eff all would be done, it wasn't needed, the game was over and he went head hunting needlessly which started the brawl
WE've even got one saints troll who's not been here in years on the VT break out that he did it in defence of sita going in with the shoulder, which never happened. it was just a cynical foul, again, which mcilorum has previous for, and most if not all opposition fans have a dislike for, however as mentioned, this week, everyone has turned a blind eye to it.

| Quote: Angelus "
The knee to the head Austin got was accidental, tomkins was coming across covering. Didnt see the other player cannonball, was watching the head. Probably should have been a penalty for contact with the head mind, but isnt given in a lot of cases.
The knee to Clark's head i watched a few times. Still 50/50 as to whether it was on purpose. Mcilorum was moving into acting half, and Clark was in the way. He wasnt looking at Clark, he was looking into front of him. Its unusual not to look down at the ptb though so I think he knew what he was doing. Clark certainly got up fast enough once play was stopped and he wasnt getting a penalty. '"
Tomkins over the last couple of years has slid in on his knees towards the opposition head on multiple occasions, he’s already been warned for it a couple times in SL games. To suggest it’s ‘clumsy or accidental’ is laughable. He’s notorious for doing it especially in the act of the opposition player just scoring a try or having just scored.
Mcilorum has been in that position at the ptb multiple times, he’s in the act of already ‘clearing the ruck’ as just before he intentionally knees Daz Clarke to the head he shoves JClarke out the way a second before. Mcilorum being the niggly tw*t he is knew exactly what he was doing with his knees & would of defended it by saying “I was just kneeling down to play the ball” ... it was ridiculous the amount of stuff James Childs missed during that game he really is one of the most inept referees of SL. I’m a 100% certain that if he acted early on in that game we wouldn’t of got the sour end to game on the field, the likes of Thaler/Hicks are much better at dealing with that sort of thing.

I couldn't tell to be honest. Kept watching it to try and see it but the camera angle on it is awful. Its too far away and from behind. That said, he got a red card so it cant have been good. I think people haven't mentioned it because of everything that happened after it.

Could I ask where this video evidence is, not saying it did or didn't happen, just curious as to where said video evidence can be seen,
cheers

| Jesus Christ I've read some absolute toss on here over the years but Angelus takes the biscuit. 50/50 as to whether the Mcilorum knee was on purpose!

| Had a peep on the pie forum and this game as got them typing rubbish one clown wants wire kicking out of super league another wants us to play games behind closed doors some want a points deduction.. And some have brought up events from the past regarding our fans..didn't know Wigan were a squeaky clean club...anyway let the rfl decide the punishment and take it on the chin and move on

| To be fair, there are a couple of them mentioning behaviour of catalans fans in the past and not chucking all the blame on wire. Think it was Nicky Kiss, who seems one of the reasonable ones.

| Quote: moving on... ""Warrington fans are thugs"
I challenge anyone to not kick off if you have someone, that someone being ex-wire player Ben Pomeroy, throwing glass bottles into the wire fans. Then all the catalan fans throwing chairs and snapping legs off tables and using them as weapons. Warrington fans are thugs you all say? easy to jump to conclusions when they just show pictures of wire fans climbing into a corporate area. People should research why they were doing so.
Kenny Edwards urging the french fans on to kick it off whilst Hill was asking the Ref to blow up because his family was up in the Box.
Wire fans are thugs? Perhaps we're not angelic but the majority of the blame lands at the feet of the frenchies up in that box and Catalan as a club for not having adaquat stadium security.
And as for the Ref causing all the argo, though he is not responsible for the actions of the crowd, he does have to take some blame. the sheer frustration he caused from his lack of ability to control the game caused the away fans to vent their frustrations at the ref. The catalan fans then were throwing ale into the crowds and laughing. so in essence he does have a part to play.
Straight after the first fight he should have come down hard on any infringement and stamped his authority. but in the following sets after there were high shots, flops, knees in the tackle, wrestling in the ruck and he just let it slide. It's almost as though he thought "Oh, Hicks let the game flow in the semi-final and it made the game better... I think i'm going to do the same" the man is a complete embarressment to the RFL officials and has been for close to 10 years. How he is still employed as a full time Ref is beyond me.'"
There is a piece by a Cas fan in League Express today. He says that Cas fans had objects thrown down at them from the same box. They called the stewards over and pointed out the people responsible only to be told "we cannot do anything, they are very important people".

Stewarding is an obviously problem in that stand, especially when there was only 3 visible stewards there on Saturday. I’m all for a carnival atmosphere at grounds but crowd safety has been massively overlooked, regardless of who started what, the policing of stands especially when there is a mix of supporters between home & away it needs to be addressed properly.

| So to clarify, 90 percent of oppo fans said we were the house team and would cop a load of bans, didnt happenz catalans did.
Also, 90 percent of opposition fans said james child had a good game and it was the players at fault, and now he's been demoted.
I think theres a lot of ppl from the weekend that owe us a lot of apologies

What garbage
What 90% of people said is you can't blame the ref for your fans climbing into exec boxes to attack people (or anything Catalans fans did), and responsibility for that rests with the individuals concerned.
I don't think I have read one comment that said Childs had a good game, or that Wire were worse than Catalans on the pitch.

| Really?? Because I've read LOADS saying we were a disgrace on the pitch - equal to Catalans, plenty saying Child got most things right and had a decent game and only ONE Warrington fan directly correlating the violence in the stands with Child's performance.
Not expecting any apologies (why would they?) but the behaviour of opposition fans on here this week has been a disgrace - yet to see ONE reasoned assessment of events. I think the results of the investigation into crowd violence will be rather interesting as well.
