I'm not saying that we'd have won it last night but we can definitely put a lot of our poor showing down to having more than one eye on next week's final. I thought that G King had one of his better games and he may well have put himself ahead of Akauola on next week's team sheet. Patton tried hard when he came on for the non-existent Roberts and Hughes also put in a decent shift. Other than that, must try harder.

Hill was back to his worst giving away stupid penalties and Clark had one of his quietest games all season making just one run from dummy half.

Hopefully we've got it out of our system as the next three games are going to define our season.

Some will be ok but regardless of the official line some will be taking knocks into the final. I would stake anything on that.

Watching Catalan v Wigan will certainly be more relaxing than watching our undersandably half hearted performance last night. We definitely took more knocks than Price is letting on.

It is this attitude that is endemic within our club. It is not acceptable to give anything less than 100% when you have paying supporters travel in numbers to support the club. If we were going to not compete we should have rested the key players.

The top teams can win Cup and League - they are winners. We have not got that steely determination yet.
