Compare Sims vs Savelio
It's easy to see which of the two makes in roads through defences.

Again,with reference to an unreliable source (Wiki) Savelio weighs 4lbs less than Sims but is also 2in shorter..

Not once on those clips does akauloa break the line....just saying

He makes a ruddy great dent in them and when you have dazed defenders returning to the line and markers getting up slowly, it helps the go forward after quick play the balls.

Just like to add that when you have been steamrollered and put on your , your less likely to come back for seconds.

Yes Sims defence is infinitely better and he has an offload (sort of). .. and he does this in the middle of the park week in week out doing a fair stint in each half.... and not a bit part player out wide with the small blokes...
but it's a Sims bagging post so must be true. ..

I wouldn't be totally disappointed to see him given one more year either. the consensus was that he's already on his way, is it me or is his situation still unclear?

It's juts an absolute myth that prop forwards break the line with alarming ease and regularity.... but some fans on here think it should happen.

When George Burgess was in his NRL pomp he rarely broke tackles but it took so many to tackle him he lead the stats in tries scored immediately after his runs. ....... that's a fact.

It would have took a strange person to comment on his lack of tackle busts. ...

Incidently a Huddersfield prop according to the SL stats has made 148 tackle busts. Chris Hill has made 23. Guess which one makes more metres per carry.

We have been at our best when Sims and Hill were playing together, dissing Sims is a joke

I agree - it was a comment in defence of Sims - who i like. There's another thread stating how we want our players to give 100%. Limited as Sims is - he always gives 100% and does his job very effectively.

I think the problem is that despite being absolutely fine (not outstanding but above average) Sims 'looks' like an impact player who should cause carnage... the warrior hair do doesn't help his cause. If he shaved his head he wouldn't get half the grief from some fans.

It's not HIS fault that we don't have a real impact prop to bring on (Savelio is the nearest thing to that).

Effectively for 2 seasons we have been "under-propped". Last season Hill and Sims worked miracles. This year Hill not quite at the same level and Crosby and Cooper missing in different ways (and for different reasons).

Am I overstating when I say Cooper has been our most disappointing signing of the last 10 years? And before anyone says Brown, I thought he was turd before he got here; I expected huge things from Cooper- he's not looked any better than before he left IMO.
