All those Warrington trolls on the saints forum after saints lost. Never mind. At least you got the hub cap. You know, that bit of metal that was nothing when saints won it every year but now it's pride of place at Warrington hq.
Has any team ever choked in 2 finals in one season lols
Regards
King James'"
Yes, we did in 2005 losing to Hull FC in Cardiff and The Bulls at OT. Dreadful memories but you have to go through tough times to enjoy the good ones.
Cheer up everyone, roll on February!!

The standard of reffing over the many years knocked it out of me, all the decisions that mattered went against wire.
I went the game tonight and thought the first halve was pretty even, and thought that if things continued as the first half wire would win. Just had the edge.
But in the second half I don't think wire got a penalty in the 40mins and the ref in my view favoured in all 50/50 calls Wigan.
It was still just like it always was with the ref, just like old times.
I always said over my 40 years a fan that refs swing games, tonight reinforced my view, and thus will remain awol.'"
Wow, I'm seriously impressed by your one-sided bitterness.

But it was technically a try, it doesn't matter how messy or loose the control is.
The ball is clearly knocked backwards out of atkins hand by Sarginson, he then gets some downward pressure on the ball.'"
No it wasn't you need to learn the rules before you post!

We need a couple of wingers but our completion and game management wasn't up to scratch tonight. Well done wigan (I hate you).[/quote]
That's what as it all the more sweeter

Nope, should have been a try... or a knock on against Sarginson at the very least who intentionally knocked the ball out.

Ok you are one of the small minority who think so.

| Quote: Tiz Lad "Why has nobody mentioned the fact that in the knock on before the Atkins no try, that Gelling picks the ball up in a clearly offside position, but Thicks gives nothing.
Fully aware that we could've had a try, but we also could've had a penalty in front of the posts and an 8-2 lead and the ball back not 30 seconds after the no try 6-6'"
Gelling was in front of charnley when charnley touched the ball, but when Gelling actually picked up the ball he'd made it back behind charnley so he wasn't offside, something very similar happened in a game against cas earlier in the season and stuart cunningham explained the rule at length, so i've no problem with that one.
In all honesty I though Hicks had a good game, which isn't something I expected when he was first announced.

| I suppose ,after last weeks outcry from fans of another club & the sky commentators, that the Atkins effort would have been well scrutinised as was the Hull try last week against Wigan.
Incidentally,i did notice an unnoticed offside by Wigan, but overall Wigan did the right things to win for the full 80 minutes & in my opinion deserved to win.
As regards the whole play off system, i don't like the idea. Whether they are instructed to do so i don't know, but the rules that matter seem to go out of the window as regards the referees & we can easily finish up with a game that is more brutal than it needs to be & possibly because of that loses much of its skill factor. The rules are supposed to be there to help with providing fast, open games so why spoil the so called showpiece end of the season by tearing up the rule book.
