Yeah because it's that easy.
Can't believe we didn't go out and buy Greg Inglis, Johnathan Thurston, Shaun Johnson and James Graham instead.
Shocking from the club.

You only have Hull Fc's word about the transfer amounts paid. Surely no one except Hull's most ardent fans really believes what Adam Pearson says anymore and its been well documented about Hull's financial worries so any club dealing with them would obviously knock them down realising some money is better than no money.

| Regardless of our owner, the club is pulling in enough profit to cover £300k in transfer fees comfortably - that’s before Simon Moran’s involvement.

good props?
Harrison is reportedly out for the first part of the season.
We still dont know what we're getting with Dodds yet.
Bevans is coming back from a pretty bad injury, and King is a kid who's more of a backrower.
Its hardly morley, carvell, chillyand paul wood, with harrison and cooper in the background.

| Well if we don't improve next season it's not for the want of trying, at least in terms of player recruitment. Will need some bedding in though. Anyone running a book on "wire scapegoat 2015/16"?

No, but then again neither are Crosby, Clubb, Flower, Mossop, Tautai and Wigan haven't done badly in the last three years.

I think it's more of a question of whether Tony Smith can motivate them and keep them on the straight and narrow. Sandow is an obvious ticking timebomb who needs careful management. Westerman is another who is famous for his enjoyment of a beverage and a late night out, a culture Warrington have fought hard to eradicate since the HJ move. If he finds his way to Manchester or Liverpool he might never come back. He looked set to be the next Sculthorpe in his Cas days, the move to Hull was an obvious mistake at the time and it's delayed his development significantly. This move to Warrington should have happened three years ago.

I think that Sandow will come good, but, less convinced that we should have splashed the cash on Westerman as I think we are covered in the BR and I know that there isn't a glut of top class props around but I'd have spent money there.
Bottom line it can't be any worse than this year can it?

| We're certainly spalshing the cash, and if it doesn't work than time will have run out for our coaches. (By 'work' I don't necessarily mean winning a trophy, but that would be a good start).
For those who think we can spend our way out of trouble - sorry but that's not how it works for me. We need to be solvent and fund our recruitment from our means - not from a rich sugar daddy. That's not the way to run a business, and this is a business albeit in the RL arena

| Tbh all this spending & player acquisition compared to previous years smacks of a CEO's size 10 having connected with the appropriate buttocks.

"spend our way out of trouble"
Of all the transfers, I think we have only paid for 2 players.( 3 maybe with Sandow) The rest were out of contract.

New board members were also appointed recently and you can bet that they have assisted if it comes to transfer fees.

The club announced a profit of £600k for 2014, why do they need director support to fund signings? Didn't the club also receive an additional £300k from Sky this year as a sweetner for signing the deal early?
