| So we have Bentham and Cas v Widnes has Silverwood, I'd say we got the better out of the two.
He does go to the screen quite a lot though and apparently can't judge 10m properly..

Meanwhile, Leeds are still waiting to play their first Grand Final in Yorkshire having played the last 7 in Lancashire.

Name a suitable venue in Yorkshire that isn't the home of an RL club? Would you prefer to go to Wembley for that as well? (I wouldn't mind it tbh)
This isn't about Finals anyway, or even the Super League, its about the semifinal of the cup.
And as of 1974 Old Trafford is in Greater Manchester, not Lancashire.

Eland Road, it's about as far away from Headingley as what you're gonna travel on Saturday.

Strange that, was sure I saw Lancashire playing cricket at Old Trafford a couple of weeks back. It's no longer an administrative county but believe me it still exists.

Regardless, we're in Cheshire. I'm sure you can suffer through having to travel over here for a semi for the first time in 12 years. We've had to travel a fair bit in recent years as have over teams drawn against you.

We don't moan, never have done. The facts are we have played more games against you lot over the hill outside of Yorkshire than in Yorkshire at neutral venues since 2002. We just get on with it.

"We don't moan" - Ha! Couldn't make it up!
"We just get on with it" - evidently not. I've seen several of your fans moan about having to travel.
Have you heck played more games over here since 2002, you haven't left Yorkshire for a semi since 2002 and if you played us over here in the playoffs, it's cos you finished lower than us in the league.
P.S. Saw your post on your forum, sounds like hardly any of you can be d coming.

| For Widnes / Cas I fancy Cas because they are playing so well and are so full of confidence.
(We would struggle against both of them because Widnes are our bogey side and are always 'up' when they play us, and Cas have shown what they can do - the only thing they lack is 'big game' experience. If we don't get to the final I want to a Cas win.
Wire /Leeds - anybodies guess.
If we can beat them up front (which we can) then they'll struggle but if they get any decent ball then we could be in trouble. Their back line is very very good.
Leeds fans are really unhappy with the strength in depth of their forwards, and I can understand that. The only question mark is whether As-it-easy is on the bench or Laithwaite (Ben Evans isn't match fit yet I think).
My team would be
Russell
Joel
Grix
Atkins
Evans
Bridge
Ratchford
Hill
Monas
England
Waterhouse
Westwood
Harrison
Woody on the bench plus Higham, Myler + As-it or Laithwaite (with Laithwaite it means we only have 1 prop on the bench, and even though Harrison could move to prop he can't do 80mins between prop and loose forward - not the way TS plays loose as a prop)
Ormsby misses out for me in order to shore up the defence on that side
Until last week I'd have said Higham to start but Monas was simply awesome last week so I'm in a quandry.
If TS decides to play Ormsby then I'd look at Grix as bench or possibly loose forward bringing Ben H on as prop and more fire power after 20 mins.
For me Ablett is a key player. I know lots of people really don't like him (and many don't rate him) but he's playing really well, scores tries and if we snuff him and Sinfield out then we have a good chance.

I agree that Monas was on fire last week but I'd still start with Higham. Let Higham do the first 20 and then bring on a fresh, experienced Monas and let him work his magic against a tiring defence.
Also TS isn't afraid to have both on at the same time so I wouldn't be surprised if they're both on the field in the second half.

| I've seen a few people say that there are no direct trains between Warrington and St. Helens.
There is a train from bank quay to lea green within walking distance of the ground?

| First Vespid_Wire and most importantly...We are not in Cheshire.
It is an adopted ceremonial county. Warrington does however fall within the traditional boundary of Lancashire and so does Manchester.
However...Old Trafford football ground sits upon the boundary of Trafford borough and Salford and not Manchester. None of these are in Greater Manchester because that no longer exists. Greater Manchester exist only in law as to tie up legal affairs that the unitary authorities have together, one being the very profitable Manchester Airport, which they all take a slice in profits!

Sorry to be pedantic here but the traditional Cheshire boundary is the River Mersey.
Wilderspool, our ancestral home is SOUTH of this boundary IN CHESHIRE.
We are a CHESHIRE club originating from the southern half of a majority LANCASHIRE town.
