| I love the fact that Sky's two long serving Cretins are still massively in love with the "Entertainers" . even though they are limping along playing house rugby.
there was so much sly juvenile stuff to come out of those idiot gobs it's sickening even to the point when Hohia's dropped elbow on Myler was quite clearly acceptable.
Tony Smith amazes me that he still has the grace to give these clowns the time of day. if it was me as soon as Bill Arthur put the microphone in front of my face i'd rip the spongey bit off it chuck it in the crowd and Tell Bill to shove whats left of it up wiggys backside, and walk off (holding in a smug chuckle).

| That the radio coverage on GMR isn't the best, not when they kept going back for the football score.

| Thanks for the replies. For me it is no different to playing Sunday afternoon to Friday, apart from the fact players won't have got much sleep last night. It is Championship players regularly playing Sunday then Thursday with only one training session and a full time job that I feel sorry for.
For me it was maybe an attempt at mind games with Briers knowing Wane et al would be watching, or more likely just a typical Briers sarcy comment. Smith has made his dislike for Hemmings pretty well known (the other week he said at the fans forum he dislikes him as a person) and is painfully blunt and difficult when interviewed by him, I imagine Lee's comments wound him up- he is only human.
As for ripping the microphone and all that malarkey, don't bite the hand that feeds you springs to mind.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

That's very kind of you to say so. Monday night clearly had an effect on you seeing as you wrote this on the Saints board before the gameWarrington are a sad, pitiful, underachieving excuse of a club, always have been. Once their owners get bored and frustrated of not being able to buy their way around the salary cap to a GF win (or appearance) they and their under-the-counter cash will disappear and Dire and their knuckle-scraping fans will return to the mid-table schedule-filler status that is their natural place in the scheme of things.'"
We're well used to being being two faced on here -Rogues and Odem in particular - but even by their standards that was quite a turnaround.

Thanks Ian. Later on he called it 'banter.' Lowest of the low for me.

| There were 2-3 Saints players that were clearly quite frustrated during that match. Probably because we had a vice like grip on the forwards for most of the game. But with Monas, Waterhouse, Bennie and even Higham tackling anything that moved it was hardly surprising. I think somebody has already said that defence won us the match and I think that is probably true. The backs didn't quite click. Atkins was rusty and his passing was off. I would assume also that Ratchford playing in an unfamiliar position might also have contributed some uncertainty. If Bridge is not going to play at Wembly, then perhaps we need to play Ratchford in the line to get the rhythm and timing sorted out in the backs.

| Thought McCarthy played well tonight breaking the line and constantly getting quality offlads away. If he continues in the form he is in he just might earn himself a Wembley starting slot!!!!!

| Man, I got that touch by McCarthy totally wrong, I guess I wasn't paying that much attention. It did definitely go forward, you can see it travel over the line on the ground.
That contested high ball was still rubbish, though. The saints player (Meli?) had his fingers on the ball when he hit the ground, but Joel had it securely in both hands by that point, which doesn't sound very defused to me.

To be fair to Northampton Saint, he isn't entirely two-faced.
For example, he stood by his assertion that Saints have the best pack in the league, even having just witnessed that same pack being torn a new one by ours.

There is a picture on garyskent thread which shows Meli has hold of the ball and Joel has his hands outside of these. So MAYBE the officials got that bit right BUT was watching the SL show highlights last night and I am not sure whether Meli's left foot was actually touching the try line. If it was I dont know whether this counts as "in goal" as it was for Brett try or whether it counts as "outside of the ingoal area" as it would be on the three other lines.
Anyways it didnt cost us the game so lets move on and get ready for Saturday. Afterall....the games only have 4 days inbetween Eddie.

| Are we not changing the rules yet because gravity is too strong for Tommy Makinson and he grounded the ball in goal?

Meli did get his hands on it in the air, but I thought the point was that he had to have hold of it when he touched the ground again to defuse it? But yes, it didn't cost us the game, I just like talking these things over.
What is the rule on grounding the ball behind your own line, does it have to be intentional or not? If not then that was pretty unfair on Makinson as it looked like he slipped.
