It was, we played them twice at home that season I think.
We beat them at home in front of one man and his dog, then later in the season we had a near-full ground for them spanking us in revenge.

Aye, I missed the 18-14 game as I was at my cousin's wedding. 4th August. The 84-12 spanking was early September, stinking hot day IIRC, was stood in front of the Bevan stand for that game and almost got whiplash in my neck from watching Bradford players run past me so frequently.

| That comeback against Bradford was one of the first games I ever went to and have been hooked ever since. It was the best atmosphere at a game I've ever experienced - at least in my memory, that could just be nostalgia talking.

| I still think the Wigan game at the DW was the best atmosphere.
DVDV was in charge Nikau and Toa sent off, that was the best atmosphere for me even though we got beat.
First game of the season 2001 i think plenty of biff, immense crowd that night.

| Simple solution to the lack of atmosphere: join in the songs that are started.

| Not been the same since Geordie hung up his drum.
The Orange Stewards are intimidating for ever looking up in SS pointing & whispering. The big brother voice telling the kids to get off the metal stantions is scary although needs to be said. Why not put notices on them, the stantions not the kids.

| Funny thing was today it was like the tables had been turned since the early 2000s. Back then we generally won the game on the field but our supporters were pretty muted, some might say we'd got too used to winning. I remember Wire fans singing their hearts out no matter what the result and really raising the roof.
It was the other way around today.

Indeed when you start winning majority of your games you start expecting rather than hoping so you don't get the same atmosphere( At home anyway).

Not got to the point where they are playing recorded crowd sounds on the pa system at the HJ.
