I just grabbed it from the attendance thing on here. Attendances rarely seem to be right haha.

| Quote: inside_man "And I don't think you'll see many Wigan fans trying to defend it.
But in the regular season, we have every right to. We get fantastic crowds, home and away.
I do think though that a lot of people will be in a similar position to me, 2 extra games in the one month was too much for me. If it was played again next week, I'd be there without a doubt, as I get paid on Tuesday. Just bad timing from my part, I was hoping even more than usual for a win last week as I knew I wouldn't be able to go today.'"
Most of us realise that and we also know that you aren't one of the people who does ram all this greatest team stuff down our throat. In fact I'd be willing to bet that most of the ones that do weren't there tonight either. No doubt they'll all have an excuse for not being there and will just throw their usual abuse at us. What they all need to realise and accept is that Warrington also have a very long and proud history and we will always have one thing that Wigan will never have, the greatest try scorer in RL.

| 6700 at Wigan, I was surprised to be honest, especially after they took 70,000 to Wembley.

I was a bit surprised with the attendance, thought it looked more to be honest. I couldn't see how many were in the stand I was sat (East Stand) but in the South and West looked as if it was at least over 5000, leaving 2000 in the East.
Anyway more to the point, looks like the RFL need to sort the problem out if Wigan are averaging 16000+ in the league, yet only averaging about 9000 in the playoffs. Shocking really.

I didn't think their was that much to be honest. Their looked a heck of a lot more than 13k last week but that was with a half full away end as well. It looked more empty in the home end tonight, as well as no away support at all.
The no away support does make it look even worse than it was.

That's true! When I watch the game back I will be better placed to judge then as I will be able to see how many people were in the East Stand.
Do you think attendances like this will force the RFL to make a change?

| Let's be fair here....Yes, we like to give Wigan some stick, but all these low crowds (and that's everyone and not just Wigan) must be setting off alarms at the RFL.
Considering that these play-offs are supposed to be the pinnacle of our season, it would seem that this idea hasn't been sold very well to the supporters.
Perhaps we should go back to the days when top of the table meant you were the champions, and the play-offs were just an end of season knockabout, designed to extend our season by a few weeks and raise a bit more cash and profile for the game.
Yes, we do it this way because the Aussies do, and they are great and all-knowing, but just remember, the Aussies don't have a Challenge Cup.
These play-offs have been a shambles, both on and off the pitch, let's knock it on the head and go back to the best team being champions (This year its Wire) and let's give the Challenge Cup the respect it deserves and raise its profile by having Wembley has the finale to our year.

and so say all of us (well, me at least)
The GF is the old Premiership in new clothes. We're just brainwashed by Sky into thinking "this is it"

South, West and East looked OK because the North Stand was shut.

Forgot about that bit, and when they came back they weren't champions, York beat them to it.
