Because how many of Richards' metres are gained unopposed ? .ie. last tackle kick returns, where 20 yards can be made before reaching a defender...?? how many are dummy half runs as well ? granted not as easy, but certainly not a hit up....
take them away along with the easy yards "made" when running in the clear for a try and Morley has clearly "made more yards"

Try assists
then you just got silly with the others ...why no tackle count stats
breaking through the efforts of Ricki Sheriffe, Peter Fox , and Ade Gardner is a touch different to battering through Peacock, Graham, O' Melley and the most feared man in Superleague isnt it....

| Has Morley even been your best player? I've heard a lot more praise for Monaghan, Briers and Westwood than Morley this season.

Morley is probably our most consistent player along with westwood and gets alot of credit from our fans because of the hard yard he makes. But opposition fans and the press will take more notice of the creative players like briers and monaghan so will give them more credit

You make it sound like backs and forwards play a different sport....they are all on the same pitch. All the outside backs in SL are hard as nails else they wouldn't last five minutes.
It's hilarious how there is all this talk on here about Man of Steel where people are ruling out the outside backs, insisting on the virtues of the hard yards men up front and how front row in Super League is the toughest job and so on. Then you just have to look at few other threads on here talking about how Ryan Bailey is a coward and Stuart Fielden has a glass jaw. If cowards and glassjaws are first choice props in top SL teams then maybe the front row isn't as hard as we all reckon....
I want Morley to get MoS as he's my favourite SL player however if Richards gets it on a players vote, then it will be deserved because he's the choice of his fellow players, it won't be Sky's pick or anything like that, he's had a great season and is a top player who we would all be raving about if he was at Wire. I have a feeling that Morley won't get it, if in the end it does go down to whose been the most effective forward then James Graham would be the front runner.

| Apart from the obvious S Tomkins and richards, i beleive all things considered sean o'loughlin has been Wigans best player.
Morley and Westwood have been outstanding.

Bit of an overreaction? Westwood didn't have a bad game, but Morley did look an old man tonight.

Not really embarrasing, every player has an off day, I thought the reject was worthy of his MOTM tonight though.

To be honest both are decent players, a lot better than they showed tonight, but i admit i just getting fed up of their so pathetic one sided views, especially when they think anyone in a wire shirt is so good. i sure half of super league are feeling same...... Wire this Wire that... They are not all that.

Two back to back CC's have made up for that, with Saints winning nothing in them two years. You were better than us tonight and no
complaints but well be there on October 2nd
btw - Why you're selling Matty Smith I have no idea.
