Why don't you simply buy each other season tickets for Christmas... That way you both have something to unwrap and you can be one of wire 85's real fans (again).

| Here is a question.
Are true fans able to criticise players? For example would the people who have berated Penny, Clarke, Mathers etc be classed as true fans?

| Quote: D.D. "You need to study Play-Offs crowds over the last few years. For whatever reason, they are significantly lower than those for the corresponding league fixture.
Last year Saints recorded a full house for Wigan in the league yet there were 4,000 less on for the Play-Off meeting and that was a knock out Final Eliminator.
In reality, this first meeting means little with most knowing that it's almost a certianty that Saints and Wire will meet again in another two weeks time in a match that is significantly more important; this match on Friday is merely a jostle for home advantage, and I think we are all aware that home advantage doesn't mean a great deal in this fixture, historically.
I can't see there being more than 12,000 on on Friday and there will be about 3,500 from Warrington. In fact, I'd wager that the amount of Saints fans present will be less than what we average week in week out. The public apathy to the system, a system which renders an opening game virtually meaningless, will see a lot of people saving their money for possible bigger days out ahead.'"
I would much rather win this one have a week off instead of playing for our lives in week 2 and also get home advantage for week 3 so I think it counts for something.
With us not beating you for 9 years its become a game not to miss just incase we finally do it, that along with that fact if we were to win, we would of won the last ever game between Wire and Saints at Knowsley Road I just thought this would draw more then the usual playoff attendence and at least a good 5k from us.

Bang on, Foz
After 30 years of support, and only a few of them without a season ticket (last year being one of them), I ended up with a ticket for Wembley last year, that can only be described as "dogpooh", as I was on holiday when the tickets came out. Such is life
I'm afraid we're lumbered with the "glory hunters" who get their mates to get them tickets (note the fella on Granada Reports 2 weeks ago who got 60 tickets, surely they weren't all for season ticket holders), but without the glory hunters' future money (hopefully), we're stuffed.
I for one, don't want to go back to the days of the early 80's when we didn't get many attendances over 4000.

People who buy up mass amounts of tickets really annoy me, especially when they are people who don't regularly attend matches.
My Dad's boss is a wealthy man and Wembley this year was his first ever rugby league match.
He bought up a considerable amount of tickets for many of the various sectors within the stadium to try and make a profit. The day before Wembley he still had loads left (obviously because as a non rugby fan he didn't have the necessary contacts to offload them all). It is people like him that mean although Wembley was a "sell out" chunks of seats remained empty.

| Quote: 1905 "Wire_85. Perhaps you could start a chant of 'Where were you when we were sh*t' The next time we have a full house at the HJ.
Surely a chant of 'We're not Wank*y any more' means more to you and me than it will to the glory fan. The glory fans will never know how what it actually means. They never stood in the Fletcher End, knowing we were going to loose, but still kicking the sh*t out of the corrugated steel at the the back of the stand. We all start somewhere, and the glory fans of today will become the true fans of tommorow.'"
Us Real Fans dont Sing that stupid song because contrary to stupid opinion We were never actually Wunky in the first place. You dont spend your entire History in the top flight if you're wamky...If Wigan could have that very same claim, they'd demand The RFL make a trophy for it and would want the Queen herself to present it to one of their ten Captains.
we may have flirted with The drop zone on the odd occasion but nothing to get worried about. even in the mid 80's when We won nothing much apart from a premiership we were anything but wamky. infact had we not been faced with Wigans greatest ever team we would arguably have filled our boots with all sorts of trophies...
and what sort of Crank goes to a game "knowing We will Lose", even in the dregs of the Anderson Era I always hoped for a typical Wires Jekyl And Hyde performance.... when We tore wigan a new one in the game after Dorahy was sacked was a perfect example of that...Ive still got the video if real-er fans want to borrow it.
so stop singing stupid songs about us Being wunk it's embarrassing for us hyper real fans.. please sing "Were not inconsistant Anymore"
or I'd even allow "We're not financially in the pooh Anymore"

For this year with us being successful and on the telly a lot it's been a case of "do we spend £50 on tickets and food and such or £5 on a four pack o fosters and get comfy on the sofa"
No brainer really.

| Win on Friday will hurt Saints more than losing will hurt Wire.
Win on Friday and bring the curtain down on Knowsley Road with a loss to Wire, will do theirs heads in.
Win on Friday have a week off.
Win on Friday and watch Saints get beat the week after.
Win on Friday and Leeds beat Wigan, were in a great place.
Win on Friday and in week 3 choose not to play Wigan or Saints.
Win on Friday and WIN the Grand Final
