Probably because its not true. Otherwise they have sold 2500 tickets in a couple of days think they would of announced it if they had. Just people getting bored and want something to post so are just making up stories. |

That's the point. The club have announced it. We've sold 6,000 tickets. That suggests to me that the person in the club shop either a) is mistaken or b) has lost count. They do a manful job in there in often very difficult circumstances but it wouldn't exactly stun me if someone behind the counter is misinformed. |

It's always great to see the number of tickets sold going up and up, and I'm sure just having the discussion helps to bring in 'part-time' fans, but in all honesty the ticket sales people are different to those in the shop so it's not surprising that there are different numbers and some are 'best estimates'.
The club have done and do publish numbers of tickets sold if we get close to having to ask for another batch (as in the case with the Saints match).
It would be good if - say as of Thursday 5pm - the club would say w'eve sold x tickes and have y tickets left. This could pull in a few more and build up the excitement further (if that's possible!) anout the hoards of Wire fans who will support the team.
