We do have a diversity of immigrants, granted primarily European, initially Roman, then Northern European; Vikings and Normans. You could argue our blood lines go back to Central Europe, those of olive skin. What does that make us? Hardly on a par with Scandinavians.

The comment recent immigration introduces a whole new slant; do you believe post-WW2 Britain could have been rebuilt without immigrants? Personally, I don't.

There can be no argument about the ghettos, althouigh I think your terminology is a bit strong. But surely this is a political, social and cultural issue, it needs to be addressed on all fronts. A simple; different ethnicity doesn't mix doesn't wash with me.

We had immigrants long before the Romans too, history suggests as far back as 10,000 BC. These formed the Iron age tribes such as Trinovantes, Silures, Cornovii and Selgovae which the romans remarked on.

As I said, the blood line of indigenous early Britons is caucasoid as opposed to the other two classes of mankind negroid and mongoloid. This race basically formed the large part of immigration into Britain up until 1950 when this was changed.

I don't wish to be drawn into the other argument for post 1950's immigration as it was not related to the point I was making.

Remember I am not supporting the policy just dismissing this concept of "mongrel" nation.
