| i dunno if he's injured at the moment, however if he's not i think this is a clear indication that pickersgill isn't in tony's plans.
To only go into that game with 3 props, we were never gonna win, you certainly can't ask rah to do an improved shift.

| Obviously Woody being found unfit last minute gave TS no choice than to play three props only. Personally I think that was the key for us. Both Morley and Woods not only take the ball up the well but their defence is equally as valuable. Not taking anything away from Rau and Cooper of course. Rau however is our 'come on and punish tired legs' prop, and he did step up yesterday but I think Morley was badly missed. Woods for me adds a bit of fire and I think he pumps up the team when he comes on.
Hull for me played a solid, robust game. They showed the ability to stick to a game plan. Made for a tight, interesting game.
I was frustrated with Silverwood at times. The refs seem to have been a little lenient this year - off sides and lying on being let go a little. Makes for a faster flowing game. However I thought Silverwood was a whistle happy and that must be hard for the players (both sides) to adapt to, this resulted in some penalties that have been absent in recent games.
Being a fan who travelled to the game I can't praise our fans enough - they were full of fun and I think the players were grateful for their support. I for one feel much better than I did 5 or 6 weeks ago

| Generally thought we did well with the absentees but we ran out of legs in the last 30 minutes without a good kicking game and with excellent performances from their back row and Dobson. When we scored with 13 to go we needed to push on but started to panic a bit and that lost our chance. Still don't think either Grix or Bridge are answers for us.
Great weekend though and what an atmosphere for the game. Had some Scots mates with me and they couldn't believe it. Voice has gone this morning

| Watching it back we could have easily won the game (and probably would have won if Briers had played).
Couple of points;
Grix had a superb game and was a handful for HKR.
Monas cannot pass to his right.

No dispute there but that is not hard considering he is right handed. However he has thrown some shockers to his right and pinged a few of them on Sunday. However, probably the worst one he has ever bombed was the one that ultimately led to the resignation of Paul Cullen.
So much for the higher skill standards of the Aussie players.

I know but that sometimes happens in this game. There is no difference in the teams really and it tends to suggest we will now start to reign in the top half of the table.

| Thought Grix was immense for you, he looked like making a break every time he had the ball, i cant say i've ever noticed him much before, does he usually play like that or did you do your homework and see a weak spot down that Hull KR wing??
Bridge was good aswell, those were your two standouts IMO.
The reason you lost for me was your scrambling defence, they seeemed to score every time you were defending on your own line, was like watching Wigan at times

Agreed. He was excellent and still playing out of position really.

I didn't think he could offer us that much at centre, beginning to change my mind about it now. I do like him more in the loose forward role but Harrison has pritty much got that place covered.

| Quote: The Wood "My thoughts are;
We had a good start. In the first 20 mins we looked like running out comfortable winners. However, the cracks appeared in the second 20 mins of the first half. A try just before half time would have put an ounce of doubt in the KR mindset.
Dobson kicked us to death. Every time they got within our 20m zone they looked like scoring. As a result, field possession was vital, and penalty after penalty got them in our half immediately. We had more than enough chances to take the game ourselves, but almost everything we did was either stopped by the KR defence or we threw the chance away.
However, to play like we did and still keep it close until the final play of the game proves either one of two things. Either KR had an off day, or we played very well considering we were missing three key players. Two of which are on very good form of late.
Looking ahead, Featherstone shouldn't be a problem. But then the next two games could make or break our league season. 2/2 wins against Hull FC and Wigan before the CCQF will not only be difficult, but both games are winable on our present form.'"
a lot on this thread keep banging on about our penalty awards, when in fact you got more penalties than us, we just used them better.
