like i said, i the love album is brilliant but i went off them for many years when they tried to become too heavy metal. i preferred the gothy feel to some of their stuff.

| Quote: Rocky Bobby "The Nuge is a right-wing, racist, NRA-badge-carryin', draft-dodgin', xenophobic, racist again, misogynistic, critter-killin', hippie-hatin', half-cocked hillbilly. And a racist. Scratch the surface and the bloke is vile. A character, yes, but vile nonetheless...
Pity he can't keep his OTT escapades just to his live acts.'"
Alex Murphy wasn't exactly Pope John Paul II in his private life, but it didn't stop me enjoying watching him play. As a card-carrying Guardian reader (and founder member, circa 1972, of the Warrington Young Liberal Party ) I'm happy to forget about politics and just listen to the Nuge's music.

I hate to sound snotty... ....But anybody listing these 3 in the same list together, are, in my opinion, very unimaginative musically.
Nothing wrong with them individually....well, except for Oasis, who have been mediocre since '97....but it just comes across as somebody who believes good music can only be played on guitars and drums, and in an English accent, which everybody knows is very a very misguided notion...

I saw The Alarm supporting U2 at the Royal Court in Liverpool back in the early 80's - blown away by their shiny black accoustic guitars and anthemic songs, only to be disappointed subsequently by a lack of new sound.
