South Stand keeps going between sold out and available.

The club have tweeted the South & East have sold out. They've said tickets in the North are very limited and can pay at the gate for West Stand tickets. Very disappointing from Wigan.

I didn't count the number of Warrington fans who came over to Wigan last year but you definitely wouldn't need to write down four figures.

We were 11th in the league and in dire form. You're second having just beaten your biggest rivals. You should be bringing over 3500.

Wigan have never filled the west stand since it opened.
Even during 2011, Wire fans were in a 1/4 side of it next to the south stand.
I know, I stood in it.

I thought the West Stand was sold out on the very first meeting of Warrington and Wigan when the HJ was first opened. It wasn't the opening match but I though all 4000 tickets were sold.
It was the overcrowding at that game which resulted in reduced capacity in the West Stand. I was under the impression it was down to 3000 but if you say 3500 then that must be it.

Hope it sells out tonight and a great game.

Ah well. We nearly did it. 14 -14,500? Not bad in a cost of living crisis. And good to see that the home sides of the ground are full.

Difficult to judge how many fans might just rock up without a ticket and pay at the gate. Risky to leave it so late, but some might do that.

Wigan should be filling that West Stand...really surprised they aren't.

My memory of that 2011 season was that they send back a load of tickets. The rest of the ground was sold out. I and other Wires bought those tickets. Then it sold out and there’s was about 150 Wigan fans who turned up to pay at the gate, refused entry. Sold out paper signs

3 sides full, and the 4th open as pay on the gate.
It still could be a sell out but I've read on several sites that the number of tickets returned from Wigan was less than a thousand.
Doesn't mean it's true of course (and I also posted that there was at least one person saying they'd sold their full allocation - which was patently wrong).
A near full stadium supporting the Wire is worth a couple of points to the team. We're up already.

And the rain as eased off now, makes it more enjoyable.

Yes a great achievement. I'm sure the club are happy of the money and are glad they ignored all the Wigan bellends on social media who said 'why are you trying to make a big thing of this it's not a real rival-reh'.

Yet they celebrated like they had won the World Cup
