| I have no issue at all with "glory hunters". If we have glory to hunt, great.

| i was reading jamie peacock's biog last month, he did a section on the fanatics/supporters angle, and he's not a big admirer of the fantatic, the ones who are happy to criticize and appear to be waiting for the opportunity to do so, i think.

Interesting. I guess as times there can be a conflict of interests between supporting the club and those that wear the shirt at times.
When I was younger I always thought the players loved the club as much as I did/do. Now I realise that isnt always the case.

We need Glory Hunters anyway, how else will we get to fill the corners in.'"
well i can see that people dont want to go and watch a team that doesnt want to play like we have seen in the past but its like smith said lastnight supports are people that stick with the team through the hard times and fans only go when its good times. i dont know you personaly so i couldnt say. im sure you was there through the hard times at wilderspool and some of them at the hj and you had had enougth.
yeah suppose your right that we need people jumping on otherwise we wont get a full house.
just makes me wonder if we get to wembley where have all our supporters been coz im sure we will take alot more than the hj holds.

Fans are leisure consumers basically. If we present a consistent, positive, recreational experience they will flock to the HJ. I'd love to see 14k sell outs every game next season. The more the merrier I say.

A day or decades, it is irrelevant. Their opinions are just as valid as yours or mine of 25 years, all phalluses aside.

Point 1 Cullen deserved to be removed from his post he wasn't good enough at it , now we have the real deal i guess you have worked that out for yourself ,the Cullen out taunts were more down to our board having no balls and misplaced loyalty if they had acted earlier none of that would have happened,Cullen imo should have been sacked after the KR defeat in the CC ,so blame the board imo for what happened afterwards it wasn't good for it to happen that way but the Supporters had a valid reason imo .
Point 2 every club will have glory hunting fans ,every fan / supporter wants glory thats what sport is about if you pay your £17 you are entitled to shout what you want preferably at the opposition,
I do not agree with the booing of the team ,silence would do more good or even show you will support through good and bad by applauding,
our fan base increased with the new stadium and has gone down in recent months and I would guess that the majority of missing supporters were die hard season ticket holder whom voted with there feet again due imo to the slow response and poor judgement in appointing Jimmy Lowes as head coach by the BOARD a guy who 6 mths earlier was deemed by Salford to be to inexperience to run Salford How our board came to the conclusion that Lowes was good enough still baffles me what their reasoning was.
Wining attracts more fans which is good for the club short term if over the seasons they can be turned into supporters that are die hard and have wire running through their veins that's better but all clubs will have glory riders its upto the team in there performances to keep them by winning more than they lose

I thought supporters got behind the team and not slate players? That's a few ruled out on here.

| I've probably been watching Warrington for less time than anyone who has posted on this thread so far, and I'll openly admit that. I don't think that makes me any less of a "supporter" or "fan" though.
I started watching mid 2002 after a friend got me into the game, got my first season ticket in 2003, try to get to as many away games as possible. Whether we be top of the league, bottom of the league, or not even IN Super League, I'll still be there, cheering away supporting my home town team.
I don't criticise the players or the coaching staff publically, I get behind them 100%. I try to attend as many community events that is possible, barring double bookings.
Supporting Warrington is in my blood and it won't disappear. I'll still be a Wire supporter until the day I decide to commit suicide, have a heart attack or get stabbed in the neck whilst being mugged.
I am not just a "fan" or a "supporter".......I am quite simply a Wire.
