| No chance Cameron! Offers the Lib Dems a "committee of enquiry" on electoral reform, i.e. it won't happen. How pathetic and old style politics.

Has Blair Lite not twigged that Lib Dem are the king makers in this deal?

Strewth, GDMM. That's the biggest insult I've ever heard someone call another human being. Blair Lite. That was nasty. Imagine anybody being even more lightweight than Blair

I disagree. A Lib/Lab coalition would not secure a majority - pointless. We are either going to get a minority Conservative government or a working partnership majority with Conservatives and Lib Dem. Eitherway there will be another election in Q4 this year.

As far as Cameron being PM in a majority government they are the deal breakers.
As a minority government a closely allied Lab/Lib Dem have the numbers for power of veto on them.

| If Labour and the Lib/Dems combined to vote down a minority Conservative Queens Speech, another election will be required, and the parties which bring about such a scenario will suffer electorally. That is Cameron's best hope.
It strikes me as rather odd that everybody is panicking about a "balanced" parliament, but that would become the norm if the Lib/Dems get their way over electoral reform.
Where is Oliver Cromwell when you need him?

| This is pefectly set for Labour to hand over the reins.
Make Gordon resign, let Cameron have his minority government......The UK then walks into the huge world economic disaster that is waiting just around the corner....The 2 chancers, Cameron & Osborne, make the expected balls up of it, and unemployment, taxes and inflation rates shoot up through the roof, leading to social chaos on the streets of Britain and general disdain for the incompentent Tory party.
Around approximately 12 months from now, Labour, now lead by Alan Johnson, take back over with a healthy majority, sending Camo back to the wilderness, and all is then good in the world.....SORTED!!...

That is exactly my perception of the situation, although, I have given it 18 months.

| Why do people assume the Labour Party will choose Alan Johnson? Former trade union leader - easy target for the Tory press.

Don't think its a case of assuming, more a case that they should.
Installing a Milliband will just stink of copying the Blair/Cameron line.....Johnson is a great choice, he'd tear Cameron to bits at PMQ's and give Labour a much needed air of authority, which they have lacked with Brown, who has always given the impression of a surefire loser.
