As good as Waterhouse is he was billed as this awesome running forward who could bust a tackle and release the ball. We're all thinking "my god somebody has found another Mark Roberts", but no we got somebody with no line speed at all.

Now he is very good at defending and as said "so he should be" its a prerequisite. He can and does score trys. Barnstorming, line busting runs well maybe they're just around the corner.

The real question for me is, would you rather have Louis Anderson? I would.

Louis Anderson was a liability in defence....He'd charge out of the defensive line seeking the big hit, which rarely came off, leaving the opposition with an instant overlap.

After reading this thread it appears some fans would be overjoyed if the wakefield owner rang up moran tomorrow and offered kirmond in a straight swap for waterhouse and we accepted it. Unbelievable!!

A straight swap for a player of quality and with scope for further improvement still in his twenties for a player who....well,...isn't!

I'd be delighted to see Kirmond at the HJ....He must be the toughest geezer in the game. I may even renew my season ticket.

Waterhouse by a country mile. I enjoyed watching Louis but Waterhouse is a different level of class and experience. I'd be quite happy to see Louis back here as an interchange forward though.

I wouldn't mind that either.

I rate Kirmond highly and the last converted centre we signed from Wakefield didn't work out too badly.

It amazes me that some people wouldn't.

Kirmond looks like a young Ben Westwood in the making.... Waterhouse on the other hand, doesn't.

That'd be down to Waterhouse's age preventing him from being "a young anyone"
