| Did anyone watch the Super League extra time programme? Was Tony as uncomfortable talking to Eddie as he was when we played Leeds?

I'm one of his biggest fans,a dn he is my son's favourite player, but MOM no. He did catch Sam, and score our first try but MOM? I'm not saying he played badly, I just think there were plenty better than him.

| I've only just finished laughing at the Margin Meter's predictions. Time to get rid. It's becoming laughable now.

I think his defensive efforts won him that. He was first there anytime Prescott or Lima (props) got the ball, a few times he piled into them when they were running like a train on the first tackle of a set and on goal line he was excellent.
Still I think others could have got MoM; Briers for generaling us back up field with good kicks and passing and of course his interception, also a few others for great defence.

| Quote: the flying biscuit "Not a Myler fan to be honest but I thought he had a decent game tonight .....
He's not a weak link in defence which isnt bad going for a small young half back...
oh and remember when People used to compare Who was the better half back Myler or Tomkins...........
Well there is key skill required for a half back and its knowing when to pass to a man in support or to a man outside his opposite defender., or when to keep hold of the ball
which one did that better tonight.............
Sam Tomkins is the best Broken field runner in the game but he isnt comfortable under the high ball, and his decision making is piddle poor and his kicking game is hopeless........maybe if Myler had been mostly poop but ALMOST scored a try of the Season he'd be being raved about.....??
only Bridge was poor for me tonight.'"
True. Tomkins bombed two tries for them, if he'd been more of a team player and just passed the ball to the open man they would have been in. Oh well, haha!
Bridge got ko'd in the first half and played on and it effected his game...but his defensive efforts in the final 15minutes were very good.

| I thought we were pretty average but did enough. When I say average, same issues that have blighted us so far in terms of ball control etc. I thought largely speaking our pack was bullied at times, I thought Wigan forwards made far more yards and gained far better field position, they were winning the floor and all that. The likes of Lim,a Hock & Farrell looked like they could punch a hole at any minute.
All that said, we've some fantastic inner qualities, we dig deep for each other, we've a lovely habit of having a counter punch when seemingly we're on the back foot and taking all the pressure, we seem to find ways to keep ourselves in games that look to be slipping away, even in defeat we did this at Leeds and it nearly got us a result. There's a collectiveness that even with changes in personnel is clearly still there.
I think we've plenty carrying knocks and there's plenty not at the levels we know they can reach, I'd start with M.Monas but there's a lot of scope for improvement, throw in players to come back etc.
Great win, hopefully Saints get a good hiding on Sunday and no confidence ahead of their trip to our gaffe, then if the weather is kind we'll give Widnes sixty so there's plenty to look forward to.

| Westwood and Morley were absolute machines. Best game for Briers this season so far as well.

| Bridge took a bang to the head going in to a tackle early on.
It was worse than it looked - he stumbled up but didn't really know where he was.
I was screaming for TS to get him off straight away as he functioning at 30% and a liability.
I was suprised he came back on - and even then was definately not right - as we had an unused sub on the bench.
It was an enthralling game and very very tense, but not pretty to watch - too much stop / start. One of the toughest I've seen for many years. There will be a lot of sore bodies this morning.
There was so little between us - Wigan edged it for me and should have won but they didn't take their chances.
Fair play to Wire for a determined defence.

| For those questioning Sam as a team player I'm guessing it's simply based on last night? He's been excellent at creating tries for others this season and acting as an extra playmaker as well as a runner.
On one occasion he made a good break and had Hock in support down the middle but covered by a couple of players and Richards supporting down the left. The only sensible pass was one to Richards but with Richards carrying an injury he wouldn't have made 10 yards with the ball before being tackled, so keeping hold was the right thing to do.

| Strange that we haven't seen a couple of our goon loving friends on here.
I only saw the 2nd half. I thought we played well in defence and are not hitting top form yet. Wigan looked very dangerous on the break and the result could have gone either way. Wigan do seem a little negative when they get down into the 20 meter zone.

| The game was great spectacle. I've read a few posts saying "we didn't deserve it". We defended brilliantly and put in a tough, gritty performance. I think Wigan were unlucky to be on the losing side again and couldn't really have complained if they'd have won. But it was a throughly well deserved win. The frightening thing is that we have so much to improve on.

I agree. It was a great game, highly entertaining but I think both teams were way off their best. Both Wigan and Warrington made a lot of mistakes and are much better than what they showed last night imo. I actually think that Warrington will get a lot more from that game than Wigan but in the end either team could have won it and it will be great to see who wins the games when they really matter.
