| Quote: Winslade's Offload "Yes, too many people were anonymous and there were too many mistakes to list. Most worrying though was 1) the defence - it was simply awful, followed by 2) inability to score close to the Wakey line. Wakey certainly deserved their win but the game was dreadful to watch as well. I thought I was back at Wilderspool watching an A team game.'"
The amount of time we spent having no impact right on their line was incredibly frustrating!

Before our last Wembley final win in 2012 we lost 62-18 at London Broncos. In the play-offs we've lost to you in week 1 and then beaten you to get to the GF in week 3 it looked like two different teams playing each other and it was only two weeks apart.
Individual previous games, games one week to the next, good form or bad form over two or even as long as eight weeks, means absolutely nothing. Because one knock-on or a slip by a defender can completely change everything and a team can go from hopeless to champions or white hot to nobodies on the back of those tiny incidents.

| Quote: Ganson's Optician "Completely disagree! Wakefield were simply the better side and we were awful. It's insulting to them to say otherwise.
At the end of the season we need a serious discussion regarding who captains the side. Nobody is barking out the orders or rallying the troops and it is blatantly obvious to all and sundry, especially the players on the other side of the field.
We had a good run and it seems both the club and fans made the mistake of believing all the problems from the first half of the season has magically disappeared.'"
You disagree that he played a few players that shouldn't have been playing, that he took Bridge off to see how we'd do without him and that we had multiple halfback combos throughout the game?
I wasn't excusing the performance, I was stating what I thought. That TS is seeing what he has to work with if what happened at OT last year happens again. The good news is that he wouldn't have liked what he saw, and he'll do his best to sort it out.

| In other news, my pizza finally arrived 20 mins late and the guy had the cheek to ask for a review!
The pizza was good but the garlic bread was just bread with a clove of garlic wafted over it.

| This side is desperate for a proper stand off... its absolutely crying out for one.
a run of form, in which we played ok mid season seems to have clouded judgements somewhat.... at no point in any of those games did our HB's get a proper stranglehold on a decent team and perform.
The last 2 games has seen probably the most inept HB's displays during Smiths reign.

Cas, Wigan and Saints were all major contenders! HKR at home too.

I'm hoping with you TS is playing all sorts of combos to keep leeds guessing. Unlike morleys_deckchair I've seen the very best hb partnership this year with Bridge and Ratchford. It looks very simply to me that TS is purposely NOT pairing them up.
Some can't see the woods for the trees.

hard to disagree.... i cant think of one single game this season in which we have seen a 'great' display from our HB's.
In our decent run, we were winning games on the back of the forwards.... our HB's, were at best, steady.
I have seen Ratchford at 7 have some good games now and again.... but that's it.

| As stated earlier in this thread. The main problem is that we have no true leader out there, no one to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and direct the team around the park We desperately need a general.
There is plenty of individual talent out there to mold into a cohesive team. The number of times we were in attacking positions and just had no idea what to do was reminiscent of the start of the season. I don't buy this 'lets keep Leeds guessing' I want to see people getting used to playing with each other and building relationships, getting the old telepathy fine tuned, learning about each other.
Obviously when we win the GF I will be acknowledging the TS genius and magic. There just wasn't much on show today

Leeds @ home? Think we have to be careful we don't throw the baby out with the bath water here - Bridge & Ratchford might not have been Sterling & Lewis but they were still dismantling opposition defences with considerable ease and efficiency, admittedly on the back of a dominant pack.
For reasons of squad rotation (ugh) the partnership was split up and the team begin to misfire. You can argue whether that was coincidence, whether we got lucky, whether Bridge & Ratchford flattered to deceive or not but results don't lie, and the points for/against @ 80 minutes are the only stat that counts, and for two months we were in clover.

Once again a post that is spot on morrisseyisawire.
I can only guess the split is because TS wishes to confuse the opposition ahead of the cc semi and because he is confident that when he reunites R&B we will once again sweeping all before us.
Warrington are in a position where TS can experiment without any damage to our targets, win lose or draw.
We stand to gain either way with blooded kids and getting senior players to become more utility.
Indians needs more feathers in there hats before they can become a chief.

| Ive nothing sensible to say. The game was a shocker poorly ref'd poor standard of play and idiotic shouts from cretins in the crowd.
One of those games I wished I'd listened to those people who say superleague is rubbish and stayed at home
