| I'd drop Walker but I wonder what the plan is with D Clark? Maybe a start for Walker vs Salford.

| Whoever is left out of this will most likely figure over the Easter weekend plus we will have Goodwin, Mamo and Westwood available, and if Akauola doesn’t get a game over that weekend I’m not he will at all this season barring injuries to others.

I think that you might not mean it in finger pointing, accusatory terms, but, "drop" is a bit of a harsh assessment of Walker? It's a squad game, injuries, form, suspensions and different opponents will all be factors on team selection and that's a fluid situation even with our squad

Absolutely. I'm a huge fan of Walker. 'Leave him out' would have been better phrasing.

| Not so much 'drop' Mr K, but rather Walker was elevated to a senior position for a spell while we were in a position of comfort and resting players. Which is more of a shine to his progression rather than a blip.

Apparently going back to Souths immediately, if you believe The Mole.

| It’s on a few different Aussie news sites as well so probably nicked it from there. Talk of Greg Inglis retiring and he would be a replacement as can play most three quarters

Which sounds uncharacteristically un-Goodwin like?
He's always come across as one of our most settled 'import' signings with stories embracing his time here off the field and helping others feel at home. I'd be disappointed to see him disappear off the scene if he's going, go at the end of the season in an orderly fashion with a big GF WIN send off .

Officially denied by Wire in today's Warrington Guardian.

| Quote: Winslade's Offload "Well, it will be quite a forward battle so I would imagine Price will drop Walker for this game. If Livett is fit I suspect he will play because whilst Davis certainly gets through a lot of tackling, Livett gives us more options. Then there is the issue of size. Whatever, I am sure whoever does drop out will play over Easter anyway, so lots of opportunity to prove the Coach wrong
Walker and Davis to miss out for me.'"
I'd agree with this, although Davis certainly did nothing wrong on Friday vs London, Livett just offers a little more versatility (Centre, Half Back, Back Row.... hooker?) Davis' London performance will see him get plenty of gametime over Easter. Being able to call on him, Westwood, Goodwin, Mamo, Walker, potentially Sita too, puts us in a strong position squad wise. I hope I haven't just angered the injury gods...

| The timing would suggest Goodwin could leave. Contract ends this year, (wouldn’t expect him to be re signed), Mamo just signed an extension, frees up a quota spot and we are allowed a replacement for K Brown. Not saying it will happen, just wouldn’t be surprised.

We know from the horses mouth (no Longbarn, not you this time) that SP would like to re-sign "a couple of players" and that KF is "in contract discussions with Goodwin" with a view to re-signing him. Anything can of course happen, but the odds are on Goodwin being here next year.
I suspect Jack Johnson and Pat Moran will be off, as will Sita. That leaves Atkins, Bennie and Lama Tasi. Atkins could perhaps leave as we will have 4 centres if he stays, but I would hope he is retained. Westwood will not cost us much and is still very effective in short bursts. I guess Price will wait till the end of the year before deciding on that. No idea about Lama Tasi as it's not that easy to sign a bench prop on a reasonable salary, but he is not exactly a standout.

All good points WO. However, Goodwin bound to head back to the Antipodes once his playing career is over and the lure of playing a swan song season or 2 in the NRL may be hard to resist. I would be thinking long and hard if it was me.

| Be gutted if he goes but he would go with my best wishes if he did go as he's been a solid player for us.. I think Tasi will be re-signed and a new prop brought in as i can't see Westwood doing another year, and unless Sita gets a game and plays that well he's undroppable he's gone aswell. And if Moran goes we'll be light in the forwards. Be interesting to see the Squad next year, exciting times for us
