| I'll go further, too
The only highlight of the afternoon, was going into the Friar Penrith for a pre-match snifter, walking in behind a 30something lady, who was rather interestingly dressed. I should have stayed in there.

Yep
There isn't many things better than Cumbrian fish and chips on a bank holiday pal.

| Quote: lefty goldblatt "A dreadful game in terms of quality, as indicated by the teams league positions.
Good stuff from Ratchford, Julien and amazingly, Evans (bar his love up for their first try), and a couple of others.
As karetaker says, something not right with Hill. He looked slow.
Huddersfield hoist by their own petard, with all that time wasting throughout the game.
Brough tore us a new one at times. We couldn't deal with him. Mind you, neither could the ref. Constantly in his ear.
2 points. That's all.'"
Four day turn around may have something to do with the big men being fatigued. Hill made 166 meters and 34 tackles against Widnes, not bad for a prop!! 4 points over Easter not seen since 2010, get a grip.

| Typical flat Easter game, two poor sides trying their best not to win it
Got out of jail at the end, no one more relieved than Patton after the drop goal attempts, 2 points & on to the next

| We have been making excuses for Wire all season.
There are no excuses left, poor effort from both teams. Good vocal effort from the Giants fans. Have to find a positive for one of the teams at least.

| Right in front of us, Patton was kicking to the left corner with about 15 minutes to go, but if he had glanced to the right he would have seen a clear run to the posts.I think Huddersfield scored at the other end within a minute though. I thought our defence was quite good today but our attack was missing players moving across to create overlaps at times & a hard day was made harder by Thaler's poor refereeing. Wakefield will be tough unless we can get some fluency in attack.

| I never thought we'd be in a position where we were celebrating a missed conversion against Huddersfield to hold on to a win.. Depressing !

Sorry Dad
I'll try not to have such high expectations again.

| There are a lot of poor decisions being made across the park when we have space in front of us. We bombed a few tries where chose the wrong option at a crucial time.
I have to admit though it is all my fault. Only game I have missed was Leeds and we won. I returned to the fold today to make sure that i was not the Jinx. I left with 20 mins to go when we were 20-16 down (Long Homeward Journey). We come back and win the game. I will not be going for a few games until I have been to see the exorcist. I apologise and god be with you.

| The Widnes game was 6 days after Leeds, where we certainly put in a lot of effort. Then at Widnes we lost Russell and Atkins and played two men light on the bench. So today only 4 days later it's hardly surprising we looked fatigued - and lost Cooper early on. The forwards looked as though they were running through knee high mud for most of the match. And it probably will not be much better for Wakey in only 5 days time. It's a daft time of the year and I don't think anyone can read too much into the overall performance.
On the plus side I thought Jullian played really well again and was unlucky not to score. He tackled well and ran some very good lines in attack ( when most of the time there was not even a runner supporting the ball carrier). For me he has edged out Savelio for the BR spot. One cock up by Evans shooting out of the line but the rest of the time he was surprisingly good in defence and made decent ground running the ball back. Ratchford was the top man of course with some clever breaks whilst mopping up everything that was thrown at him in defence. Livett and King I thought were so so, with good and poor bits of play, probably both tired. Gidley was similar, missing a try scoring opportunity by passing the wrong way early in the first half, giving away a stupid obstruction penalty, but getting another valuable try.
Until we are out of the Easter period I don't think we will really know where the team stand. More importantly quite a few other teams will feel the pain after Easter with injuries and fatigue taking their toll. At the moment we are relatively well off with only 2-3 long term injuries and the ability to switch the squad around.
Thaler was shockingly bad. I went for a pee during one Hudds tackle and when I came back everybody was still waiting for the ptb.

| Agree the ref was diabolical, Wire down to 12 men for 10 mins and we might have got over the line instead but Thales bottled it, thought markers were supposed to stand behind each other as well? Can't believe you lot are bagging the ref, all ya did was boo for a frigging penalty for most of the match.
