God I hope not, he's wasted at 13. Had a couple of good games but mostly been a shadow of what he used to be this year, his pace and impact have visibly diminished and i really wouldn't want him here. You can't live of past deeds and your name forever, I wouldn't mind seeing him in super league but I'd rather see him somewhere like castleford.

And I love how he just assumes (like most Aussies do) that it as easy as saying I want to go to super league and he'll have loads of teams chasing him.

Got to disagree but Roy never came as a top player. He was well past his best but most certainly had a fantastic manager!

Yeah very true that's what annoys me when everyone keeps banging on about him being one of the highest paid players. Russell Crowe said they didn't even offer him a contract to stay at South Sydney and 2 nrl teams who were interested offered less then half of what he was on at souths. So why would we pick up a past his best prop and spend stupid money on him? I doubt he is on more then 100k a year at best. Carvell was on 110k a season when we first got him and he was one of the best uk props about. And this comes from Paul Cullen himself.

Glenn Stewart was OK when he played for Manly. Since moving to the Bunnies he has gone steadily downhill. Against the Roosters last weekend he was plain awful, Steer clear (unless you want another Asotasi)!!

Sounds ideal for us then with our awful overseas recruitment policy!

OK when he played for Manly? He was brilliant. Won the Best Second Row Dally M Award twice and won two Grand Finals (he was MOTM in the 2011 final).

He'd be a very good signing for any SL club. We should be all over this.

Reading that article, I wasn't aware that Pat Richards was joining Catalan next year. I thought he would have stayed in Oz for the rest of his career.

You need not move past Roy for case closed on that one but some may add one of the Monaghans, awful in his signed position initially and King wasn't too far behind in his first year (it took a change of coach to change their performances). Not entirely sure everyone wouldn't put Waterhouse in this category either.

And we can go back to Paul Rauhihi, Tony Tatupu, Dallas Mead, Matt Rodwell, Mike Sullivan.....

Plenty of people in Australia think we have signed another disaster in Sandow as well.

We seem to have had reasonable luck in signing overseas outside backs, less so in other positions.

Things are not good when the Aussies are signing any available good player of ours & superleague clubs are picking up Aussie cast offs. Talent wise our game is in a poor state.
