I know he's keen on Blighty but rightly or (IMO) wrongly in Australia to get any recognition as a coach you need to prove yourself in the NRL.

I think any such offer would come after our relatively poor start to the season is turned into a Grand Final victory.

No to Noble, the game has moved on.

Shaun Edwards?

Shaun Edwards would be a positive choice but I can't see him ever returning from union to league.

Plus if he was successful we would always be looking over our shoulders at Wigan poaching him.

Noble would be my top choice, I still think at a big club he has a Grand Final win in him. He improved Wigan and Crusaders....Salford he was in an impossible position with Koukash's interference but he wouldn't have that problem at Wire.

My shortlist would be Noble, Powell, Nathan Brown (if true that he's unsettled at St Helens), McNamara, Matthew Elliott. Outside of those the market gets thin.

Brian Noble isn't upto coaching the game the way its played now imho.

I don't see why Smith needs to go anywhere we should match anything he is offered and keep him with us long term. Stability creates success, the youth structures are good pushing some quality talent through into first team finally.

Smith could do a similar job to what Ferguson did with time and patience.

Who could come in that is guaranteed to do a better job?

If he does go then top of my list would be Powell.

He's played both sides of the hemisphere, he's coached a big club, he's got international calls.

He would be ideal for me, also slightly ironic taking over Smith.

TS's kids are English...why would they want to go to the land of dust, snakes and flying things which could kill you ?

Powell ticks a lot of boxes, he's had three jobs in RL and he's done well in all of them.

Would Richard Marshall be worthy of a step up if TS does go with say Lee Briers & Brett Hodgson back in the fold & by all account M.Monas wants to go into coaching.

I really hope he stays, there is nobody better for warrington. If he does end up leaving then I would be gutted but daryl Powell would be my choice.

If Smith leaves, then Powell is obviously the outstanding candidate.

Being an NRL coach, he may coach Hill to play like Big Roy!
