Having also watched since the 70s I have no problem with people booing if they feel that players seem like they are not trying / underperforming, but simply doing it because your team isn't winning is different.

Actually, I am expecting us to win tonight. Catalan don't travel well and we still have quality in the team... The weather should be decent so we can hopefully play a bit of rugby and get some form back.

Never have and never will boo my own team, regardless of the result and/or the perceived lack of effort.

There is no lack of effort coming from the players (well most of them) we are just not working well as a team.

Even times in the past when we've been battered there hasn't been a lack of effort...some people just have off days. Its down to TS and the coaching staff to ensure these are few and far between.

That fact still hasn't stopped people booing though of course.

Sadly, this present side aren't really under-performing, they are just a poor side (when compared to teams of recent years).

Any vocal protest should be aimed at those a bit higher than those on the field - I'd be more inclined to criticise or, at least, question those in charge of recruitment and coaching and I'm not sure doing it in a stadium filled with disgruntled punters, would be the best place to air those concerns, especially if we are looking to keep up the confidence of younger members of the squad.

This is a highly effective way of letting your feelings be known, as well as being very funny. I have experience in such matters.

If we get "a whooping" then too right there should be booing, i dont agree with the people that boo every time we lose but if it gets to a point where we are being beat at relegation favourites and then at home to Catalans then it doesn't make you a glory hunter or a bad fan for booing the team. Tonight could be an interesting night for all the wrong reasons.
