Nobody helped Widnes when they went tits up so IMO the RFL shouldn't help Bradford bad management at board level got them into it and they should reap what they sow !

I really hope that Bradford come through this but if they don't, then I don't think that they should be replaced in Superleague. It would be a perfect opportunity to reduce the number of teams and longer term to increase quality.

bfdbull1979 do you think that within a few months of the start of the season Bradford ended up 1.75 million plus what they owed the RFL already which the RFL took the stadium as payment and they wasn't in the mire a few months earlier when they lodged their SL franchise application ? If you don't you need to wake up and start smelling the roses matey ! The RFL did that's why they made sure their investment was the safest of all and took the stadium to safe guard it ! The RFL aren't an innocent party either they must have known about Bradford's financial plight as well they should be investigated as well IMO !
I do hope you survive but if you need to go back into the championship and rebuild I don't see any reason why this shouldn't happen Widnes , Halifax and Leigh have done it so Bradford should as well IMO !
As tin soldier said maybe this is an opportunity for SL to reduce in size it would be good for the league I think but IMHO I would prefer it to be a smaller club like London , Cas or Wakefield go all three are very poor and offer little to the competition !

I feel your pain but Warrington aren't dependant on a wealthy owner for stability. We're not Huddersfield. We generate enough income to survive however it does come in handy when we want to cherry pick other teams prospects to complement our own.

Whilst the lack of A benefactor hasn't helped Bradford, it's not the reason they're on the brink of death.

Usual common sense approach from Padders. Bin a club that's in trouble and replace them with a club that's been in trouble for years. With a combination of people putting money into the club and the sale of Bateman and Whitehead the Bulls will survive.
Padders, you've obviously forgotten the state we were in in the mid to late nineties. If your approach had been taken then we would all be watching Championship 1 Rugby at a rented Wilderspool.

I do remember our club was in dire straights and nobody helped us out and we never begged other clubs for help we got rid of the problem and restructured the whole business and prospered !
The RL world has changed since but I do remember the RFL telling us get a new stadium or we won't stay in SL which we did before anyone else !
I would prefer Bradford to stay but if they need to step down and restructure fair enough I won't lose any sleep over it they've lived beyond their means and are now paying the price just like Widnes did but I don't remember the RFL and the league as a whole try and save Widnes they let them go down and restructure to come back later !
I do think the league needs to be smaller and the RFL need IMO admit the London experiment has failed there's no support for a club down south , also Wakey and Cas should merge or both go as non of those three teams are competitive with anyone bar themselves !
I'm all for a SL 2 with 10 teams in both leagues and one up one down with a relegation final between the bottom on SL and top of SL 2
Top 9 play off in SL to decide Grand final line up rather than top 8 !
I will repeat my self I do hope Bradford survive as a SL club but they have to do it on their own merits not off the backs of others and fix their problems and restructure !

I'm not wrong at all. You give an opinion and then seem to think that others aren't entitled to one. Then when someone criticises your posts you go off on one. Widnes weren't allowed to go down and re-structure. The re-structuring came after they spent everything in a failed attempt to get promoted back into SL. My criticism was of you suggesting we bin the Bulls, who still have a reasonably large following, a replace them with Halifax, who don't have a large following and couldn't even put a semi-reasonable business plan together last year.
As regarding your Top Nine play-off in a league of 10 teams, we might as well do away with the normal season and just have play-off games.

Why do Bulls have a right more than others ?
Yes they have a history yes I agree they hopefully will stay but they seem to have no business plan other than all other clubs bailing them out it didn't happen with Widnes ! The RFL have bailed out London in the past which I totally disagree with !
Widnes were originally relegated and didn't finish bottom of the league that's why they went tits up just because Catalan had an exemption so IMO Widnes deserved special dispensation and should never have been relegated and no team should have come up that year if the bottom club in SL couldn't be relegated !
Tbh the RFL have a lot to do with all of this they're supposed to be impartial but seem to favour certain teams it's not a good situation but is looked at as the norm !
Back to Bradford I will repeat myself I hope they find a satisfactory resolution to their situation and stay in SL but I do feel they have to resolve it on their own just like we did !

Just to make the point clear Bradford Bulls did not ask at anytime `Ask other clubs for money` the bulls asked their own fans to Pledge a donation other clubs or fans donated cash off their own backs. As a loyal bulls fan i wish to thank all those wonderful & generous fans for doing that and hopefully we will see some positive news in the next day or two.
