| Pick any 17 you like, there's no point in international RL. England beat NZ every now and again, NZ beat Australia every now and again. Ireland, Scotland and Wales aren't really viable sides, France can't compete, and the likes of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga aren't really serious propositions either if we're honest.

| I think the real problem lies in the halves.
sinfield isn't a half and chase doesn't know what he is doing half the time.
against aus we looked flat with the ball.... they were right up on us 1-2 passes into a move.
Aus played like wire do to an extent.... one halfback runs up into the line and throws a long deep pass to the playmaker, who distributes to people running onto the ball from deep.
we have just spent all season seeing myler/monaghan suck the line in and throw a ball to briers, who runs the show.
that's how to attack people.... Englands attack was so flat and predictable yesterday the result was obvious.

| Hopefully Myler will now get a chance next year, hopefully in the Exiles game.

Depressing but true.

I was one who pushed for Chase to play, but he's been a real disappointment, like Morley's Deckchair says, he doesn't know what he's doing half the time. Last night he was completely ineffective and his kicking was awful. Sinfield wasn't much better in attack and his line kicking was even worse than Chase.

5. Jermaine Mcgilvary
6. Jonny Lomax
7. Richie Myler
8. James Graham
9. James Roby
10. Jamie Peacock (for now he still offers the aggression and leadership that we need, aswell as being the captain)
11. Gareth Ellis
12. Ben Westwood
13. Sam Burgess
14. Gareth Widdop
15. Lee Mossop
16. Gareth Carvell
17. Adrian Morley
I know people are saying Morley and Peacock should give up now internationally but they are still 2 of our best props and for now we still need to play them. Sinfield however, his time in an england shirt must surely be up

| There's no need to tamper with 1-5, unless somebody has a fantastic season like an Atkins, Watkins etc and forces say Yeaman out. He's probably the only one of the 1-5 that's vulnerable, and he had a good series for me, so I'd say 1-5 is fine.
The halves need looking at, hope that Lomax, Myler develop this year. If not, god knows. Not Chase please.
The pack, There's not really an International Programme in 2012, so really you've to start looking at 2013 now. So that for me means the end for Peacock & Morley. In terms of who replaces them, god knows, I'd start by asking Kopczak to change to England, he's had a belting series. Having Sam Burgess back replaces one straight away.

| For those of you who don't realise. Sinfield has played
More games at 6 than a lot of players have had first grade careers. He's at around the 200 game mark now. Plus 2 GF's , 1 CC and 1 WCC as a 6. He has more right than pretty much every SL 6 to call himself a 6.

| If Sinfield lost a bit of muscle and forgot how to tackle then he might be taken more seriously as a credible stand off.

| Sure Sinfield has played plenty of times at 6, but that does not mean he is an international quality stand off. He most clearly isn't, and worse than that it meant that Chase was played out of position. Poor selection on Macnamara's behalf. Obsessed with having to play Sinfield, when he isn't good enough at that level in that position. At international level you cannot start playing players out of position. we tried the same with Farrell, Sculthorpe etc and that never quite worked. You don't see AUS/NZ leaving Lockyer/Marshall on the bench, and starting with a loose forward.
I'd like to see Chase at 6, with a recognised scrum half with him. Not convinced that Briscoe is an international winger for that matter, but there aren't any obvious candidates jumping out.

You would have thought he would have figured it out by now then.

Darius Boyd is a fullback who played on the wing before Slater was injured
Paul Gallen is a loose forward who played prop throughout the series.
