Reckon with reduced season ticket sales & lower crowds we were heading for a loss before Wembley. With increased merchandise sales we have probably just made a small profit

This is the point I think - It's how much the "club" itself has/generates - is worth - which for any super league club will never be millions - and my point - the term richest clubs doesn't include how much it's owners/directors are worth and/or how much those people put in to it, or spend on players - a la Moran etc..... So, this richest club thing doesn't really mean that much - not to us anyway....

We're not the richest club based on income generated, nor do I think we have the richest benefactor. However, I do think we have the benefactor that has the most money that he is ready, willing and able to dip into if needs be.

So who is richer than Simon Moran in Super League then?

The Leeds owner is far far far wealthier than Moran and appears on the Times rich list if i remember rightly.
They also have the biggest turnover in SL soo there's your answer.

I was under the impression Leeds Rhinos was part of the Leeds Omnisport Group ? A consortium that also owns Leeds Tykes RU & Yorkshire CCC ?

Leeds generate the most cash but also pay outa heck of alot..only 1 team has recorded profits in the last 2 seasons..and alot of clubs say they are skint.

Caddick is rated at £90 million in 2009. I very much doubt he is 'far far far wealthier' than Moran.

Y ccc are not and have never been owned by leeds athletic and cricket ltd.
two years ago leeds city council lent them £9000000 to buy the cricket ground from mr caddick who then owned the ground .
the ru side leeds carnegie were financed by leeds metropolitan university and carnegie college.
that was before the university hit financial difficulties.
i'm told this season is a stand alone one for leeds carnegie ru.
