| Stadium itself was very good, good food and liked how you could just walk around outside. However, i thought the area around the ground was crap not a patch on Cardiff, i also thought it was a lot harder to access than Cardiff. Cardiff was straight off the motorway onto a park and ride and your there, Murrayfield was much harder having to go through the city centre with a lack of signs for the ground, in fact i didnt see any. Overall i prefer Cardiff for the day away from rugby ie restaurants and bars, but i prefer Murrayfield when watching rugby, no roof (although maybe a bit of a bummer in bad weather) and being able to move around outside the stadium in between/ during games.

| I'm setting up a poll, but for me of the 2 Cardiff is a definite winner.
Murrayfield stadium was a great ground, but Cardiff was sooooo much better due to the ground being more central to the city centre. We stayed at Haymarket and had about a 20 minute walk to the ground, with very little on the way (pubs n food venues etc). Although the stuff set up within the ground was good
Once we left the ground and headed back the City is that vast that the atmosphere was lost, we went into pubs with no fans around....where did 60,000 people go.
The drive back today was horrendous, when we approached the Lakes we hit queing traffic and it remained bad until this side of Preston, due to roadworks and traffic leaving the Lakes after the Bank Holiday weekend.
Enjoyed the weekend but for me its Cardiff everytime.

| Quote Birch24="Birch24"Thought the stadium was miles better than millenium, loads to do when got in there ( games for kids etc, plenty more choice in foods and drinks. Where else can u go and have a chicken jalfrezzi with nan bread while watching game.'" Main problem there is that the stuff to do all relies on the weather being good, if the weather had been poor the whole event would have been a wash out.
Like a lot of fans we sat on the grass in the ground enjoying the sun but if its not decent weather that wouldn't have happened and there was very little else in the area to do.
And thats not to mention the state the pitch would have been in with a bit of rain.
And the public transport links - especially after the game - to and from the ground were very poor - why wasn't a shuttle service set up to get fans back to the city centre?
Cardiff wins hands down for me, an enjoyable weekend but the ground and facilities weren't a patch on Cardiff.

| Never been to a Magic weekend before. Can't say I was that enamoured by Murrayfield or the location. It was a little base for me outside the ground too, reminded me of a travelling fair.
The upside was getting 2 x free tickets to get in. Presumably the RFL directed steward mistook me for a local.
Seriously I didnt hear one Scottish accent inside and the taxi driver didnt know the event was even on. I'm not sure the RFL can call it a success.

Wire lost
and would you believe it the coach breaks
Did not get home until about 5.30
Edinburgh was awful
Me and a few others tried to watch the newcastle liverpool game in the pub and they kicked us out cos we did not have id with us. I am 18 but dont have id because i have just passed my driving test so im waiting for my licence which i use as id to come through. Around 5 pubs said the same thing even tho we were just sat there not drinking anyting! Plus took us ages to actually get to the ground no signs until about 10 yards from the ground!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO BACK TO CARDIFF!

| Once again poorly promoted by the RFL, some locals were asking if the event was a RU sevens tournament. Not a fly poster in sight. The RFL would learn something if they asked Les Cats what they do for promoting their games as Catalans had posters up advertising last years' play-off game against Wire miles away from Perpignan.

| Edinburgh for me, great stadium, good set up around the ground, and excellent city away from the rugby.
Keep it there, but hopefully well be on earlier in the day next year.

| Just got back, great turn out again from the wire faithful...
I have now been to all 3 magic weekends and Edinburgh does not compare to the weekends we had in Cardiff. Two main reasons, 1. The stadium was to far away from the city centre - Once you had made the decision to go to the stadium, you could not just pop back out of the stadium and go back into the city centre like in Cardiff (it was too far away) and there was nothing based around the stadium that would warrant having some time out during games. Due to this there was no atmospehere in the city centre like there was in Cardiff. 2. You cannot take children into the pubs (even if you are eating) - I'm not sure if this is law in Scotland, this is a family event and hence not being able to eat in pubs with your kids is an issue, so it was proper restaurants, Macs, KFC or BK! We couldnt even watch any of the other rugby or footie games on sky during the weekend as the kids weren't allowed in.
So YES its CARDIFF for me and the rest of my family!
